VR Rubber Banding?
so ive seen a few posts on this before, ive tried everything that was reccomended. updated drivers, changed t_averaging_window_length to 0, to 120, to 300, turned off vsync entirely, but i still cant seem to fix the issue no matter what i try. i have over 100 hours playing the game like this in the past with no issues whatsoever so i have no idea what changed to bring this issue up.

im running the following:

quest 3 through steam link
RTX 3060ti
Ryzen 5 5600x
48gb 3600mhz ram
windows 11

im open to any and all possible fixes, i love this game and want to keep playing but this rubber banding issue has made it literally unplayable, and no, going back to just playing on flat screen is not an option.

If you right click on the game name in Steam, and then go to Properties and then Betas, have you selected Oculus-OpenVR-OpenXR 1.53?

I run through VD with my Q3, and use VDXR as my runtime with DX11 selected as my launch option. I have an older 3060 12GB card and a i5 13600K on Windows 11, and get no stuttering while driving, unless the frame rate suddenly takes a hit in a city, which occurs very seldom.
Things did change at one point where I was suddenly getting bad frame rates and stutters, but after fiddling with some in-game settings and switching to OpenXR (VDXR) in VD, things went back to normal, at least for me. I'm not sure what to suggest though if using Steam Link, other than maybe trying it through Oculus Air Link using the OpenXR runtime, and see if it makes any improvements.

yeah im running the proper beta, launching with directx 11, and i have -openvr set. i also use virtual desktop, but i tried using steamlink as well to see if that would fix it (it didnt). i have stable frames, everything is smooth. the issue is weird, something ive never seen before. ill be driving down the road, then it seems like time speeds up and i zoom down the road before it steadies out again, before repeating. rubber banding is what i saw other people call it

ill try it with openxr. im assuming to do that i need to have my launch settings contain -openxr, much like i did for -openvr?

okay, yeah, openXR fixes everything. i dont know why none of the other threads i looked at even mentioned this and instead had me messing with config files. thanks man, i really do greatly appreciate your input!

No problem at all, and I'm glad it's working again for you. :)
