Brake light bug
I've been having a bug in my game where the ai brake lights and my own brake lights are extremely bright. They sometimes even fill up the entire truck cab. I've uninstalled this game to try to fix this issue. But a fresh install of the game and no mods installed since I reinstalled I still have the blinding lights bug.

Verify your files. You can do this by doing a right-click on the game in your Steam Library and going to "Properties". There you go to "Local files" and there should be the option to verify your files.

If that doesn't fix it then check again if you are really not using any mods. Because that is in most cases a mod issue.

I literally did a fresh install today and hopped right into the game. I didn't download anything from the workshop after the download finished.

Reinstalling the game is not removing mods that were present before the reinstall.

If you did not unsubscribe from all mods before re-install, you downloaded the same mods again at re-install .. Also note, some mods get "baked" in to your save files .. For testing purposes start a new clean Profile with NO mods enabled (can be subscribed, but do not enable for this profile). This should be your first step in troubleshooting a problem, not re-installing the game, which takes way longer, and generally does not fix anything if you do not know to wipe all the extraneous files from your PC before re-installing (Documents folder files, and User/appdata folder files).

It wouldn't have been in my documents folder to begin with I reinstalled the game along with all games because my pc blue screened. I ended up resetting it to factory settings so there was nothing left on my pc at all.

Except that mods that you have subscribed to on Steam are automatically redownloaded.

Please post your complete game.log file to https://pastebin.com (copy/paste, split the game.log if it is too big) and post the link to it here please. This way we can find out what the problem is.

You can find your game.log in your documents in the ATS folder as a default install on Windows. (If it is not there check OneDrive.) On a Mac the ATS folder is in your Library and there in the Application Support. On Linux the ATS folder is in the .local and there in the share.

If pastebin is not available in your country please use https://rentry.co and post the link to it here please. The page works like pastebin.

Post your game.log.txt file to pastebin please.

Surprised that no one has asked this. Overly bright brake lights is something that happens only with outdated mods.

This could even be from trucks that in your truck manager from mods that have not been sold off as one possibility.

ETA: Wolfgang posted right before I did asking for the game.log.

You may not be subbed to any mods NOW, but if you had mods on this profile, they may be "baked" in to your SAVE file .. You need to do as directed, and start a NEW clean profile to see if the problem persists or goes away to determine if it was a mod causing the issue.
