Montana sucks!!!
My game was fine until I added Montana to it. Now when I play the screen skips, and sputters, and while driving , it will even freeze with the engine sounding like I am moving, then take off unexpectedly. Game was fun, now it is a joke. Anyone else having this issue? And ,No, it is not my internet.

Well, i don't have Montana...yet, and am dealing with some issues. But then they said Ge Force Now were dealing with changing around locales and maybe having issues. But then on Arma 3 last night, the whole game was complaining about unbearable lag. Hell Let Loose even had some complaints.

I'm wondering if its a "Steam" as a whole issue atp.

Nope

Yep, I'm having similar issues. Funny thing is ETS2 runs fine (better than fine actually), I think it could be something to do with the devs going overboard on the trees :steamhappy:

Billing seems to be the biggest hitter when it comes to those random freezes, at one point I was sat there for 18 seconds just staring at a static image, not fun when you're doing 65mph and the AI has started braking to allow his AI mate to exit a parking lot lol.

I took my foot off the brake thinking the game had crashed but nope, 1 second later the game comes back to life, I plough in to the back of the car, get fined a ton of money and then finally make the delivery.

Even stranger, no one seems to be talking about this on the official forums? I could be wrong but I haven't seen anything about it in the Bugs section, Technical help section or even the general discussions?

If i had to guess at what the issue was, I'd say it could be that the game is loading too much stuff in the foreground before it has enough time to delete the stuff in the background (the stuff behind you), but it's only a guess and I could be way off the mark.

I have been all around Montana, and have no issues. I also use many additional map mods at the same time, and also no issues when add. I have not seen any change anywhere.

No problems here. What are your system specs? Are you running any mods? If your game is crashing or freezing, post your game log here if you want help.

Have you verified your files? Sometimes updates (and DLC's presumably) can leave you with a file or two that is corrupted...

100% vanilla, in a certified spud® PC. Settings at HIGH + 200% Scale.
No issues at all.
I have all DLCs but cosmetics, only use 1st person view, so don't care a lot about paints.

sounds like a graphics card issue my 3070 ti runs it fine

It's a little stuttery, especially in Billings and Laurel, a little in Butte, but I do notice more pop-in in the distance, like I'm driving and down the road a train just appears on the tracks out of nowhere. It's not just limited to Montana, but I've seen it on the drives down into Idaho/Wyoming too.

Yes, me as well especially with Wyoming. But i don't want to overstate it. It's not "that" bad for me.

Oh wow. You keep your grass and vegetation off? Why? I play on an Xbox One thru GE Force Now and i have everything maxed lol.

I don't normally keep it off, just wanted to see if it made any difference to my Montana issue,

Does GE Force Now support wheels yet or are they still keyboard/controller only??

For me on Xbox One just a controller that i can tell. Can't speak for Series X or Ge Force Now proper.
gworf74 Aug 12, 2022 @ 4:00pm
Cheers. GE Force Now sounded excellent but I don't think I could convert from wheel to controller lol.

Just had a quick look on their forums and it looks like wheels aren't supported, At least not without a work around.
