Personal i don't care how and when the DLC's comes out, i buy them in that order they come out and will keep doing that and love every time i get something new to this great game. I like to play when there come something new to discover in it.
No worries though. You just keep on doing you.

Alaska North To The Future (paid)
Alaska Ice Roads (hasn't been updated in a while, but still works afaik)
Route Alaska.
As ATS is based in summer, then a SCS map DLC would't be the ice road truckers choice of maps to use. Even if we get seasons and sever weather added to ATS, you would still require mods to do the winter haul routes.
In summary, i doubt that a summer Alaska is on the cards any time soon and it certainly isn't what I would imagine those that proclaim to want Alaska now actually want either.
A Winter Alaska trucking DLC would require a lot of drama to match the TV series and it would likely end up being slow boring and too difficult for many players, in which case try practising with SnowRunner for now.
Every once in a while the "grumpy old man" in me slips out. Award granted for keeping me honest, thanks.
