Cockpit.
What cockpit or everyone using. I’m looking at getting Triple screen 27inch and a racing cockpit. I want to make sure I get the right fov for the realism as I’m coming from vr because I can not stand the blurry graphics anymore. Am I better to just buy a steering wheel mount and use a rolling tools screen mount it a cockpit with the mounts connected to it?

I have a larger desk, but I just leave the screens on my desk, and mount the wheel to the desk using the clamps when I want to use it. Unless you plan to do a lot of sim-racing, I do not think a separate wheel/pedal/seat/monitor stand is something you need.

I have a 24inch center screen, and two 21.5 inch side screens, all 1080p. I use a Logitech G920, but I would consider the Thrustmaster T248 another good option. Also use the TH8A Shfiter from Thrustmaster.

The FOV you want to use will depend on how you have everything set up, including your distance from the screens, and your virtual seating position in the cab. This is easy to mess with, and you should first build a setup that works for you IRL, and then tune the display settings to match what you want the game to look like.

It all depends on your budget and what you are able to make room for. Triple screen will of course take up a fair chunk of real estate, so presumably you're ready for that. I used a PVC cockpit like this

for years, ROCK solid, the only advantage that the extruded aluminum one I use now has is in flexibility in mounting things. There are endless PVC cockpit designs, just spend some time with Google and Youtube to explore. Screen mounting systems can also be made of PVC or are available ready cut of aluminum.
In the low price metal cockpit kit world you get what you pay for, flimsy junk.

If you do go with the full racing sim setup, also consider getting a better chair than normal. Most sim racing seats are a full, race spec (by design), bucket seat. They are the same or close to a seat you would put in an actual race car. However, unless you make your setup also a motion platform, there is little reason to use an uncomfortable tight racing seat.

Get a car seat style, but once that is more comfortable, and not so tight. You would want some side bolster if you use strong FFB, but the racing bucket seats have enough bolster to hold you in if you get throw around, which is excessive for a non-motion sim. The extreme bolster just makes it harder to get in and out of, IMO, especially when you are avoiding the frame support and the wheel itself.

Something to consider anyway, though the options for this may be somewhat limited. The seat in the video above is basically what I am talking about getting, where if you look up "best seats for sim racing" you will see what I am talking about with excessive side support for a sim rig on many.

The real hard core full motion rig guys might benefit from actual racing seats when getting thrown around, but for the rest of us a nice comfortable seat from a car (mine is from a Mini) makes a lot more sense, comes with adjustments that racing seats don't, and can cost less.

I did mention that ;)

Those systems are so complicated, and quite expensive though. You have to be really dedicated to get one. I would not mind having one at all, but I would not shell out the cash for it, lol.

You have to start somewhere, and for some, starting hardware is good enough to last. If you were looking to do something though, the biggest experience upgrade IMO is buying a cheap Xbox 360 controller. under $30 for a quite substantial play-ability upgrade that is durable and still portable, which may be important because you have a laptop.
