Progression optional?
Can we get a tick box for progression? Nobody has ever had there log book checked before they take your check for a truck upgrade. The entire premise is just silly. It's the reason I don't start new profiles to do the zero to hero run over and over. I don't want to be in a day cab with a 350hp engine and 13 gears for 100,000 miles.

Would be nice for testing. Good thing there are several ways around it.

Get a profile jumpstarter mod for that.

Plenty of XP/Money mods out there, with various degrees of boost. Plus the bank loans unlock pretty early in-game.

you dont need to do that, i started many many times anew, takes only afew hours to get
your own truck..whats with the hurry nowadays of these gamers??

But that is not what the OP was posting about...

There are also cheat sites out there with "trainers" to speed up the progression. I use Cheat Happens.

I would say that using mods is in that case the safer option. These jump starter mods generally cause little to no issue and can be removed without issues.

I don't want instant money, I would like something that aligns with a little reality. Like I said OP nobody will check your log book before they cash your check for a truck upgrade.

Interesting premise.
The player's accumulated hours in-game be the indicator.
Whatever Level, XP and Money you have achieved at that particular hour, your ATS game is flagged as 'experienced driver' and as a reward you now start any new profile/game at that Lvl, XP and money. Everything else is as normal for a new game.
You have funds for truck upgrades and garage purchases.
The 'hours played' means you need to earn it, exactly like an achievement ie. stored at Steam. This hampers the folks from 'just choosing an option' at the kick-off.
If you uninstall the game, you'd keep the 'achievement' tho. Dunno how that would work tho.
Like a "zero-to-hero" thing, but not.

I would still want to level for higher paying jobs and better loads. That aspect of leveling is somewhat realistic just unlock the trucks and upgrades. The better paying jobs and hireing new employees would be the carrot and the loan payment would be the stick. Opening up the dealers and upgrades would just make the grind to get there more realistic and less tedious.
