ETA: By your statement DAF needs to be in the USA to because of they are owned by Paccar. Guess what, this is not happening either.
Scania needs government approval to even have their trucks in the states.
Why link Bruce Wilson too? Guy is not the greatest of people. His history of screwing people over is quite long, not the count the time he spent in prison for insurance fraud and having parole revoked for leaving his state without parole officer approval.
I'm not talking about MODS. I'm talking about history. Just like what happened with Volvo.
You will need to use mods because SCS WILL NOT ADD SCANIA TO ATS.
Dude, the discussion here is about a future implementation of Scania in American Truck. Even if you play dumb in the face of historical facts and the fact that Scania trucks have been running in the US.
I know this MOD, but I want the brand in the future in American Truck.
You're not the first one to ask this and you surely won't be the last but SCS has made it clear they have no intention of adding ETS2 brands to ATS.
Any official ETS2 content that gets uploaded to the workshop here is deleted.
There are facts about how the Scania brand deserves attention over American Truck. And you won't be the one to stop it.
SCS already did that for you.
Since 2024, Scania has been getting very close to the USA, just as it did in 1985. There are already Scania trucks circulating like Bruce Wilson is doing.
Dude, even if you don't accept it, Scania has a history located in the USA.
There are US trucks in Europe too, but those get imported by individual people, and are not sold by the manufacturer.
So the question is, does Scania sell those trucks themself in the US, or are some individuals import them into the US?
Scania managed to offer its products in a wide variety of configurations, including the double-cab, in the United States for seven years. It also had around 17 dealerships on the East Coast of the country.
But now, as part of the Traton Group, owner of Navistar, which produces International trucks and whose models have been manufactured with Scania engines and gearboxes from the S13 platform since last year, they have had a much more interesting relationship with the US. I don't see a distant relationship, quite the opposite.
Yes, there are already some being sold, one of which is by Bruce Wilson.
Now Bruce does own older Scania's though which is private ownership.
Totally different things here whether you like it or not.
