Bundles are good too.
For example if you have the base map plus the Arkansas dlc you can fast travel to Arkansas, but only do jobs inside it and have to fast travel again if you want to drive on the base map.
Yes i am aware because i play ETS2, just recommend what you would get if you want.
No one here knows the prices for upcoming sales, but historically we often see 70-75 % discounts for the older DLCs. The newest ones may be at a small discount or no discount at all.
From the first map preview image, I'd avoid all the blue ones and everything else above Texas, except for Montana.
They are all just desert and look the same imho.
This is for gameplay reasons. For example, personal taste, Texas is my favorite. But I can't recommend you to buy it first because you can only teleport between base map and there, and can't do jobs between them without inbetween states.
Also echoing what's already been said, look for map bundles and during season sales.
The response i was looking for. I will buy those dlcs you mentioned for the time being when they go on sale
And echoing what others have said, buy what you can afford - and only when they are on sale (which is often) but definitely buy maps that are adjacent to the base game. You start with California, Nevada, and Arizona. My first purchases were Oregon, Washington, and Idaho which finished out the entire Pacific Time Zone states. I then just kept moving eastward (Montana, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado). My next purchases will be Texas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.
