I suspect that the Dakota's are going to be the first States bundled together so it is possible that they are next in line after Louisiana
Actually there are multiple people subscribed to this discussion board that are "in the know". the problem is that they are forbidden from saying anything until something is officially announced
The issue they're going to face with smaller states is what can they cut. Population density rises as you go east. Skipping over a bunch of 5000 population towns in the west is fine. Skipping over a bunch of 500,000 population towns in the east is not.
And that's just Ohio. Pennsylvania is even more densely populated and frankly a larger land area. New York has NYC and a large number of medium cities outside that. Florida will be a huge one for sales too.
We could only say they skipped something if for example they announced New York now without releasing the inbetween states.
