if you have then you edit your profile and add in your login details.
It's an optional "Service".
Once you have created an account there and activated your ATS or ETS2 game there (you have to do this on the WOT-page) you can connect your profile to WOT in the game.
Then you will get the so called "external" contracts in game as an addition.
These run in real time, not in-game time, and will refresh frequently.
They are synced with WOT while you drive, so no map mods should be used and you can not load a save game to reset you position (if you flipped the truck, i.e.) .
Somtimes there are events like "Cruising Texas", where these contracts are used to fullfill a certain goal. You can get little rewards like some cabin accessories or paintjobs.
Beside that you can post some nice screenshots at your WOT profile and browse other screenshots, give them a like or comment, etc...
