Mack 2025
Anyone watched the videos on YouTube and elsewhere showcasing the new Mack Anthem? Man that is one sweet ride. The cockpit looks like a high end luxury car, not a OTR working tractor. And enough advanced techno gizmos to make even Elon Musk jealous.
Ah to be 20 again and just starting my deriving career... cruise control and automated gearbox? Sign me up!

Yeah it looks great.... for the people inside the truck. But those of us who work under the chassis and under the hood? Absolute nightmare.

I can imagine. Engineers and designers never seem to take into consideration the people who have to maintain all the fancy gear. Look what happened to cars, one needs a degree in computer science just to change the oil...

One thing I've noticed driving the newer trucks that have come into the game over the past year or so is the effect of "how can anyone keep their eyes on the road with all these bells, whistles, and distractions in the cab?"

I traded in my 5th-gen Cascadia for a Volvo VNL 300 because my safety rating (incidents in last two weeks on the career tab in-game) completely tanked. The VNL's spare use of digital readouts means it's a whole lot easier to keep eyes on the road.
