Radio Stations.
***Updated section******
Will post here the needed info for radio streams based on states in the game.
You can use this program to add working streams to your list.
https://bitbucket.org/santigl/ets-radio-manager
It works for ATS too np just unzip into your documents/ATS folder then it will be all set to open the proper .sii file.

--KZRO FM Mt. Shasta CA.(between Redding and Hornbrook) http://azul.streamguys.com/kzro
--TruckSimRadio (player run radio) http://radio.trucksimradio.com:8002/stream.mp3
--Ely Nevada FM Country http://208.70.75.109:8100/stream

If you have any working radio streams for CA,NV please post below.
****End Updated section***

(Original Post......
Well was kind of hoping for a better selection (better meaning more geographically centered) for the radio stations.

I would imagine that you can still add stations like you used to but I can't remember the format ect.

So thought I would make this thread to list any radio stations folks add that are geographical representative.... (ie a L.A. radio station to listen to while in L.A.)

I can't remember how/format for adding radio streams(I remember you could do it in ETS so imagine you can do it in ATS)......anyone remember how??

Please include here any CA or NV radio stations that stream that we can add to our private list here..............................

Thanks.)

Edit your .sii file, format should be in there already.

I'm definitely trying to find a good "wasteland themed" list.

Ok maybe someone smarter than me can help out so I can get a list going. Using the above LA 95.5 FM stream as an example I inserted it into the .sii file. The station shows but it displays information on catagory to the left (bit rate number shows up under language ect) and when clicked on to start the stream it tries and then moves on to another stream. I have started atthe context fo 30 minutes now and don't understand what is wrong. I have verified the stream address itself works. Here is the last few lines of the .sii file the last line is the new added station.
stream_data[30]: "http://streaming.radionomy.com/hammerhead?.mp3|Hammerhead Radio|Hard Rock/Heavy Metal|EN|0|1"
stream_data[31]: "http://rcri1.com:8000/;?.mp3|Radio Libertad|Christian/Spanish|ESP|0|0"
stream_data[32]: "http://icecastsource2.amri.ca/ckmf-mp3|94.3.FM - NRJ Montr\xc3\xa9al|Pop|FR|128|0"
stream_data[33]: "http://streema.com/radios/play/14373 LA 95FM|Classic Rock|EN|0|0"
}

I don't have my .sii file in front of me so I can't double check.

In that first wiki link I gave there is apparently a graphical editor for radio stations you could try? I have no experience with it, but as an option:
https://bitbucket.org/santigl/ets-radio-manager

I will say the first three links you have streamed properly (using VLC) but the last one did not.

What is VLC? The last one is the added one but it works fine for me if I just insert that stream address in a web browser. But obviously somewhere there is an issue, maybe it is the stream itself.

I will try that program I saw it but figured I would jst add manually because i did it before on ETS long long ago figured i could do it again ...hehehe guess not

VLC is just a media player, but it handles streams properly as compared to going in a web browser. So the first three streams checked out okay and should work in game fine, the last one did not. Your .sii format looked fine though (going from memory) so I'm not sure.

I'll try posting my .sii when I get home in a few hours

ok it has to be the stream, the program ends up with the same results only its worse because you cant fill in the other data like genre and bitrate if you want.

The stream is a stream through a streaming service so maybe it has something to do with that.
Will do a different stream and report back.
AceOfSpades Feb 2, 2016 @ 12:50pm
ok I went to the official stream page accessed thru the radios website. the stream is
http://klos.tunegenie.com/#listenlive
I used the program since although lacks the ability to include details like bit rate and genre is a fast way to add a station and it ended up doing the same thing. The station shows but when you click on it it tries for a second and then auto switches to a different station.

So consequently i give up for now, gonna enjoy the game and take a swing at it later on.

If anyone wants to contribute to either figuring out why I can't add a station or contribute to the list of CA and NV radio stations I will collect and post in the OP please feel free to do so.

Here's my SII file from ETS 2...still setting up ATS, but yeah maybe it's just the streams themselves?

I'm not able to get any added streams to work either. I heard it had to be mp3 at the end of the link, as in a direct source to the stream but all of the existing streams in the file are not like that...
AceOfSpades Feb 2, 2016 @ 6:57pm
OK well, I am back to trying again...

I tried with your Jack FM link using the program to insert it and same results, it shows but does not play.

I then copy and pasted your .sii above and replaced it, everything worked except the last entry, the fantasy radio. That did the same, it tried to play then just auto tuned in the top of the list.

Big problem is in US most of the stations use Iheart player or other safe system, they are unusable anywhere but with the Iheart app on the websites or on android or IOS, the streams are encrypted and copyrighted, good luck to get any good stations into ATS, that is why we don't have them, SCS tried to get good streams but probably couldn't get the rights or licenses for the stations to appear in game and instead got us some not so bad internet radios instead, they aren't bad, but a little bit of real world radios would be nice.
