Slide Axles
I saw at least one Trailer in the....Game Trailer....that had a Slide Axle.
Will they´re be moveable in this Game?

Would be great if we had to slide the Trailer Axles in different Positions for Driving and Docking.

Would be nice if we can slide them, but I dont believe we can move them.

Maybe it's one of those features that will be added someday...
Just like the lift axles...

I was thinking about that, instead of liftable axles they made in ETS2, make it shiftable trailer axles :steamhappy:

Anyone heard anything about multiple pivot points, for double and triple trailer setups? That would be cool.

Some US trucks do have a lift axle. But perhaps in the future we can see sliding tandems for trailers.

I don't see the point with slideable axles unless they add some sort of weigh station mechanic to go along with it. If they add advanced weight scale measurement on each axle like they do IRL, it would make perfect sense to have that.

Sliding the axels make it easier/harder to navigate through tight places

True sliding changes turn radius but that not what the are designed for our bridge laws and weight restrictions is what they are for most 53 ft trailers are set at the 40 to 43 foot mark because of the law and keeping the weight even between the drives and the tandem wheels(trailer) but if you drive a reefer the new way to scale out is split axle that don't slide cause each axle can hold 20000 lbs instead a tandem axle is only rated at 34000 lbs American weight goes like this 12000lbs on steers, 34000 lbs drives, and 34000 lbs trailer (tandem)

The second Video on the Steam Shop Site.
At 00:25 is a "Sell Good" Trailer with a Slide Axle.

From my limited understanding, sliding tandems allow drivers to shift the weight of the cargo to a varying point on the trailer axles to help stay legal within weight limits. That was one of the purposes for it I believe. I usually use the forward position of the 53ft. trailer since there's a bit more manuvering available. The rear position would allow for more precise backing as you wouldn't see the trailer turning as quickly while you're backing up unlike others where the distance from the axles to the kingpin would be shorter.
