lag on MacBook Pro

I am a user who enjoys playing games with MacBook.

The game works very smoothly for the first half hour, but there's a slight lag from one point on.
Originally, the steering wheel reacts with a slight press of the keyboard, but not with a slight push on the keyboard when the lag begins.
When i restart the game, it works smoothly again.
What's the problem?

macOS 10.15.6 Catalina
ATS is lastest version

Might be your hardware or overheating of it.

Make sure that your PC is free of dust and that the fans are clean.
What are your hardware specs (CPU, RAM, GPU)?

2.4 GHz quadcore Intel Core i5
8GB RAM
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 1536MB

Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 1536MB

You are not really at the minimum requirement. An integrated grafics card is not at all meant to be used for gaming. You should have the grafics settings at the lowest possible (and maybe think about getting hardware that is meant for gaming). The problem is hardware related.

I've been having the exact same problem using:
MacOS Sierra 10.12.6
MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012)
Processor:2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory:8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB (graphic switching disabled)

People may see my specs and think it shouldn't run well but the game really does run fine for the first hour (I play with economic mode for V-sync) and then craps out with the low framerate. I contacted SCS support about a month ago about it and they told me to update my OS. Seems that this problem may be from something else since you were having it with the newer Catalina. Anyway, it sounds like you got it working better, when you say reduce pixel do you mean you reduced the screen resolution? And does the FPS still drop after an hour?

Both those GFX chips are below spec to play ATS.
The first thing to think about if the fps drops after time spent playing is thermal throttling, either GPU or CPU.

I had the same MBP as goby182 (actually still do), except with 16GB of RAM. It played ATS OK, if I booted to Windows set up through BootCamp. If I played in macOS it didn't play so well.

My 2019 16" MBP changed that, it now plays fine in macOS.

MacBooks or really any laptop that is bought from any standard company isn’t gonna have the power to run a lot of games you might wanna just get a five hundred dollar desktop it will do a lot better and you can put more money and parts into that desktop to make it run the game with extra setting if you wanted

You say you have a MacBook with a 655 but nivida makes a 2080 that has more than enough power to run this game and it’s like half the price of a MacBook new
