What would be the most realistic trailer and truck stability setting? its set 100 it should be at 0 right ?;p

Zero stability, slider all the way to the left.

Thats what I thought thanks xD

What about ABS and traction control should I leave them on ? I guess modern cars have that installed right ?

I completely disagree that truck stability should be at 0 with all the physics changes that they have done.

well, whether the left-most settings are most realistic it is matter of opinion.

while i agree that our defaults might be bit too hard, i also diagree that left-most values give most realistic behavior. our default has its reasons - computation is more stable both physically nad numerically. and most of the game and truck behavior is tuned to default physics settings (stable computation) with regard of what is simulated and how and what is not simulated (yet).
if you set sliders left, you can get some more real-like behavior aspects, but with a cost that it might loose precision so other aspects are terribly off. it is all about combination and balance of all settings. and feelings of players as there are virtually no two players they would like the same game (depends mainly if they have driven one of real trucks and which one, or played various set of other games).

physics-based FFB just exposed this behavior bit more.
so, always start with defaults and then tweak all parameters carefully. everything is linked to everything other.

Yea, you should be able to leave ABS and Traction Control on. Most trucks these days do have anti-lock braking systems.

That hasn't been accurate for quite a while now.

Omg thats mindbogling ;p Thanks for posting that tho :) How do you tell then what it should be at then ?;p What value did you choose ?;p

I guess maybe at what speed should I be able to do a round about and/or a 90' corner without cabin and the trailer swinging sideways ? would that be a good measure ?

I wonder if there is a thread discussing all the sliders ;p I set breaking all the way left and I think it works better than instantly stopping a 30 tones truck ;p am I right ?;p

Just set them where it feels ok to you, there won't be 2 people who agree exactly where the sliders should be.

But I have no idea where it is ok ;p I am no expert, I dont even have a driving license XDDD I dont know where I want them ;p

I'd start with them in the middle. Also depends on how you're controlling the truck, if you're using a keyboard you probably want more stability than you'd need if you were using a wheel.

I have a wheel, just bought it recently for f1 but it was to too hard for me to steer so I tried Gran Tursimo instead ;p and that turned out too hard too XDDDDD So for now I try Euro Truck xD

I've always ran at about 25%. But every truck is different. In the real world, even trucks from the same manufacturer drive differently. Some have air bags, some have springs. Some have linked axles, some have separate axles. That and everything else causes vehicles to behave differently.

So no one setting in this game is realistic. In the end, play with it and if you don't like it, play with it some more. :doublenickels:

I was hoping the answer would be more straightforward ;p

Thank you all for help tho <3
