In short: Headtracking works for all playstyles and setups. Even keyboard controls, may as well use headtracking so it's one less thing you have to focus on. Have fun.
Ditto, before I could afford my wheel+pedals+shifter set I played both, ATS and ETS2, for a very long while using a wireless Xbox 360 controller, Face Track No IR and Voice Attack. Very enjoyable.
I do have a G27 wheel but cannot be bothered the majority of time to dig it out and set it up.
I have tried triple monitor setup as well as various other headtrackers, such ans hattrack and others that use your phone but for me it is the tobii that gives me what I want in this game, I prefer having the game on a single monitor and turning my head to look out the side windows and just looking with my eyes for the mirrors.
That's my main issue. Either the wheel stays mounted to my desk for several months unused, or it gets put in the basement for several months because I don't want to dig it out and hook it up.
Same reason I haven't used my headtracking in so long. Keeping it hooked up + attaching it to my headset is just too much for the little benefits.
This is head tracking with TrackIr.

Nowhere as versatile as head tracking but I was really happy when I found this setting!
Done and done
