SCS can only use trucks that are made available to them, and nobody but SCS knows what negotiations are on-going. Asking in the suggestions thread on the SCS forum is the only way to let them know you are interested.

Got my eye on a 1981 International 9600 Cab Over with with a NTC400 Big Cam Cummins 13 speed. Not telling you where its at! For doing some local runs & as a back up truck. There are kits that allow the NTC400 to be turned up to 700 HP 2,000+ TQ, better have a trans that can handle it though. Thinking bump it up a bit, throw in a 18 2050 TQ. Turn it up to about 550-600hp & 1,900-2,000 TQ. Pass them new trucks like they standing still on the hills.
The megas typically run 450hp 1650tq & auto trans. For fuel economy. One of the flatbed companies I drove for, saved $3 million a year by going to auto trans. 1,200 trucks 1 gallon a day saved makes a big difference over the year. It sucks driving those trucks, 25 mph going up hills, if you get slowed down, will not get over 15 mph going up the grapevine. Had that happen to me two times. Sucks climbing at 25, but when someone causes you get slow, cannot get over 15, really sucks. Of course that is just short of gross, 80,000 lbs.
