- Forward = Accelerate forward (works as gas pedal)
- Reverse = Accelerate backward (works as gas pedal but reversing)
Simple works much like a model railroad, at least the old-fashioned one I had as a kid some decades ago.
Real Automatic:
- Forward = Set gear in forward position. Use gas pedal or a key to accelerate. Much like Drive position in an IRL automatic car.
- Reverse = Set gear in reverse position. Use gas pedal or a key to accelerate backward.
I would get rid of those sloppy written mods...
backword is backward. It does not seem to me, if you use a shifter or a button.
Might be me that is being a little simple here.
Real Automatic uses separate controls for direction selection and accelerating/braking. "Shift up" to put the gearbox in forward and press another control for the actual acceleration (gas/brake pedal or whatever key you've assigned. Acceleration and brakes are also separate.
Personally I find Real Automatic most intuitive and natural of these two modes. Like Ozwald mentions above, Simple actually feels a bit awkward to use.
reall thought of usin anything else.
That seem's more trouble than it's worth.
Especially if you paid for it. No support for oaid mods here on Stram.
