Missing DLCs

I have American Truck Simulator on one account. I share the game with another steam account. On the main account, I have 35 DLCs. On the shared steam account, only 28 shows.

Everything was fine up until last Wednesday. When I opened the game, Arizona and most of my trucks disappeared. I was able to get Arizona back in. But when I went to the DLC store and clicked on download (nothing happens except the game starts) or add to library (where I get an message saying I need base game).

I never had this problem before. But now, for some reason, I can not get all 35 DLCs to show up on my shared steam account. I don't even know what happened to make thiis issue occurred. I reached out to steam but they were unable to help. I reached out to the game support, hopefully they'll respond soon.

I'm not sure what to do except perhaps restore my computer to where it was the day before the change happen though I"m not hopefully that'll fix the issue. I tried verifying, I've tried rer-installing everything, I've tried revoking and re-establishing family share. Nothing.

I did. We wrote back and forth for a few days, I tried everything they suggested and it didn't work.

If you right click on American Truck Simulator from your Steam account and then select DLC from the options that pop up, can you see all of your DLC listed. If you can, then click you mouse of the checkbox with the 'tick mark' on the problem DLC. Wait until Steam changes the DLC download situation and then select the 'tick mark' to reload the DLC.

WAIT until it has loaded up and try the game again.

When I clicked on DLC, it does not show the missing DLCs at all. It shows that I have 28 DLCs, but does not show the trucks that come with the game.

OK,

having established that the 'free' truck DLC are not showing up, can you now go to the ATS sales page and expand on the optional DLC.

Check if the trucks are shown with blue indicator on the left of the list. The price of "Free" is shown in the right side for fast identification of all truck models.

Should any of these trucks not be shown as on your account, are you able to select them to add to your account?

If I'm understanding you correctly. When I go to the store DLC, I can see all the DLCs. The ones that should be in my game like the trucks are labeled as free or free to play. When I click on them, I see two options, download and add to library.

However, when I click on add to libary it says I need to own the basegame. As I mentioned before, this account is borrowing the game from my main account.

Update:
I did a system restore....now I wish i hadn't because it just made it worse. Now i only have 1 dlc.

There is a Steam issue when using "Free" DLC with a base game that Steam must resolve. The issue is that Steam has a blind spot when you have free DLC. Steam doesn't seam to treat it as if you should have access to it when you share your game.

You got to keep pestering Steam as it is a Steam issue - The DLC is free, but only when you own, not share the game the the line that Steam stick to. Id is an odd position for Steam family share to have.

Could be wrong but I think that both accounts have to actually "own" ATS instead of sharing. On a shared game, it's not a guarantee that the DLC are shared correctly.

I'm still trying to figure it out. When I open my DLC library it shows 28 DLCs, with missing trucks such as western star and volvo. When I try to add to my library, it says I need to own the base game. HOwever, when I did try to buy the base game, I was no longer able to share with my main account and didn't have all the states I have now.

I really dont' know what to do at this point. I even had to completely re-install my computer (for other reasons not related) and that didn't even do anything.

I can confirm that using Family Library Sharing I do not see all DLC available - my gaming rig shows 38 DLC for ATS whilst my development box, which uses a different Steam account that does not own the game and where I only mess around with the map editors, only shows 30 DLC.

The two lists are not in the same sequence and I cannot find a ready way of copying the lists out of the Steam client, but comparing them by eye one at a time I do notice that Arizona is missing but Nevada is not whilst the following seven trucks are not available but the others are:
Western Star 57X
Western Star 5700XE
Western Star 49X
Volvo VNL
International LT
International 9900i
Freightliner Cascadia

Superficially then it would seem to relate to the free DLC, but not all of them.

Yup, those are the exact same trucks I'm missing as well.

Yeah, I did reach out to Steam but they didn't seem willing to listen. Granted, yes they tried everything and none of it worked. But when I told them about another community member having the same issue they just told me, we helped you, there's nothing that can be done then closed my ticket. I was simply letting them know I wasn't the only one with the issue.

Perhaps in the future it'll be fixed somehow. I did reach out to game support but haven't heard back. Oh well, gonna miss my frieghtliner casadia(sp?). I know most people seem to hate on the frieghtliners but I love that truck.

Thought I would check in and see if anyone else had this issue and found a fix? I'm still having the issue but since it's only trucks that are missing I'm not too concerned. I do miss my frieghtliner Casadina though and that gorgeous International that has the cool looking grid in front. Not sure what the correct term is for that.
