What special sauce are you using? I'm using a Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop and my computer has a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RTX 4090 in it. 1.49 works great, but 1.50 is absolute garbage in VR. The menus are also at a 45 degree angle down which is weird.

same here. i have 16g ram, gtx 1070, and a ryzen 5 1600. 1.49 runs just fine but 1.50 whenever i start driving it becomes very glitchy like i am rubber banding hardcore. sitting still seems to work fine but once i start moving its vomit inducing

For VR , right click ATS, PROPERTIES, GENERAL and then scroll down to LAUNCH OPTIONS and type in the advanced users box -openxr and close the window.

To change the 45 degree user interface ingame, go to DOCUMENTS , then look for American Truck Simulator, scroll down to config.cfg and open, change the following to 0.0 r_manual_stereo_ui_y & r_manual_stereo_ui_pitch close the file and save.

With the game flickering in VR and not running so well, I started the game, went into options, graphics and turned off TAA, SUPERSAMPLING , OFF or DISABLED, not sure if this makes a difference but lowered the resolution to 1920x1080 and left everything else as is and confirm or apply the changes.
Back to the game and it seemed to run fine, for me anyway.
Hope this helps.

No worries William, did you manage to get the game running in VR ? I wish the devs introduced native VR, maybe they don't have the resources or are concentrating on the map reworks and new dlc. Anyway, appreciate you taking the time to reply , cheers.

The Beta VR Branch is native as far as i know.
It is just not maintained as a stable branch (the userbase of vr for this game would be quite too low to justify that i assume).

Nice one, this was driving me mad. Tried it, and all sorted. Do the devs not test it in VR or something? Who thought a 45 degree UI was a great idea. Thanks again. Also, for those with issues with the game crashing, dump your mods, I did, and now only use the longer trains, and the companies and gas stations mods.

No probs, glad it worked for you. I find it hard to play it flatscreen personally.
