Re-Installed & Lost All My Progress!?
I recently re-installed ATS after upgrading my system and I lost my progress to level 30. Does any one have an idea what i need to do to restore my levels/progress? BTW, it does have the option, sync to cloud.

Feel your pain.

I had same thing happen. Was saving locally... upgraded pc, all ATS progress was lost. Had to start from scratch. It was a grind to get back, but enjoyable. Now I'm back to 65 trucks and making good daily $.

I learned my lesson and now to sync to the cloud.

Cloud syncing must be enabled on your Steam account AND your profile had to be cloud enabled. If not enabled on your profile in the game then your data may be lost if you have no access to your other computer.

If you do have access to your old computer then you can go back to your old PC and copy the "profiles" and "steam_profiles" folders and copying them to your new system. You could even copy the entire ATS folder in Documents.

Be sure that you launch the game and create a new profile on your new system before copying these folders in otherwise your computer will not see them.

Does cloud syncing also save in the local folder too, or just in the cloud?

After checking the syncing option was selected. All my Steam games, I believe are selected to have syncing option selected.

Just be aware, that Steam Cloud can break game saves as well. We have seen this here that people started to save locally after loosing progress from Steam Cloud. When saving locally the secret indeed is on backups.

There was an update a while ago, a Steam one if I recall, that broke many cloud saves, and the solution they offered didn't work for me. I got to restart too.

Every game update seems to retroactively break something - especially workshop mods - its just ironic how they keep promoting the game but yet really it's just drive you to the DLC store to pay for the jet-set life of touring the US in the name of getting 'the vibe' of a new DLC state.

Meanwhile if you complain all the shrill-clowns will post their signature jesters on your posts

If you wanted steam points all you had to do was buy something. 0/10 for originality. You can do better.

Mods are not the responsibility of SCS Software. This has been said time and time again since the start. Why do you think there is a message at the bottom of the screen the moment you add a mod.

Does SCS try to keep mods in mind, sure. Any reasonable developer will do that but they will not guarantee compatibility either. That is for the mod author to handle.

SCS has their own timetables of what they want to add to the game feature wise. Some things have been driven by the community. Trailer cables, sliding tandems(even if this was done improperly), the moon being brought back into the game, ownable trailers, and more.

Remember that you bought a complete game when you purchased it. Nothing in the store description said that additional map DLC are a required purchase.

Nice job of trying to complain though. More like utter failure.

Personal issue. You shouldn't use mods if you have such an inability to handle them.
