ACC - Adaptive Cruise Control
For starters, this is not about blaming SCS. I just need some input from others who tried it. I tried it since it it was implemented. Today I finally disabled it again. Why? Because more often than not it reacts to something that i cannot see where it should only react to cars ahead of me. But still, no car in sight nor anything else i would measure as a problem and it still decelerates where it should keep the speed i defined. In essence, a freature i highly anticipated grew highly annoying.

I use a few mods, so yea - i am very well aware that some mod might be a problem, even those you would not expect to be the source. Anyone out there experiencing the same problem, maybe even without any active mods?

I don't run mods and have noticed the same thing. If there is for example an overpass pillar on the outside of a curve in direct line of sight of the truck it will decel. Other times as you said I can't see a reason for it. Maintaining speed is key to timely deliveries so I also turned it off for now.

Could it be the road signs triggering it? I've turned it off for now, because it was a bit...over-zealous (I swear the tumbleweeds were triggering it)

Sometimes i get the feeling, yea. But what i expect it to do is just to react to a vehicle head.

Absolutely. Having it on was like having my grandmother beside me, overreacting to everything instead of what it should.

Same goes for the stupid drive assist feature in some trucks.
They always dindingding where absolutely nothing is a problem.
Waiting on a junction to turn left? Every vehicle which passes you will trigger the thing.
It even gets triggered if you going under a bridge and it detects cars above.

Saddest part is... you can not turn this madness off :(
So driving the new Kenworth or Volvo is completely annoying for me.

Adaptive cruise control does not work. It's currently garbage.
