Trucks need to get Dirty and old
I think it will be nice if American and Euro trucks will get dirty or old, something others simulators have, Nothing in reality stay like just comes out of the show room at the dealer, if you want to have it nice an clean, take it to the truck wash. what do you think?

Dirt may come, SCS tried it out early but wasnt happy with the result.

I think this has been asked many, many times before, with the same result:
Nobody thinks SCS are going to do this any time soon, if ever.
Anything is possible, but posting here won't make any difference to what they do. :steamsad:

The location for suggestions is on the wishlist thread at the SCS Forums:

SCS experimented with it back when ATS was made but removed it again as they didn't like the result. But it is not completely off the desk as in all the new DLCs you can find truck washes.

As for getting old: Permanent damage is a thing in the game already.

If SCS implement dirt on trucks that require a wash from time to time I hope they also implement a checkbox "Clean truck" while at the Service Shop we already have.

I want to be on the road driving, not driving to yet another type of maintenance stop. Some player may like it (or want just in the name of "realistic"), others (like me) do not.

My truck at work gets washed when it rains. That's my realism.

I haven't washed my car since I bought it 2 years ago.

As much as I like your idea, I dont see that happening. The way SCS has this game set up, you cant see the outside of your truck anyway, unless you change the camera view. In this game, you cant even walk around your truck, never-mind checking if its dirty or not.

So SCS is putting the truck washes in the DLCs for fun?

We already know that:
1) Dirt is not part of the licence so SCS can do it and
2) SCS did try it back when ATS was in development but removed because they weren't happy with the result.

Then again, snow also clearly never happened, right? /s

Just No. Make it an option if necessary, but not by default. I like it the way it is.

As an option, yes, I'd love to se my trucks getting dirty, rusty...
Now that we have the used trucks thing, it would be a logical next step.
Trucks are too clean always, it's bugs me a bit at times.
Also some scratches, dents, little things like that here and there. Since we'll never get any realistic visual damage system with deformed body, at least we should get these little things.
As an options because we all know many players don't give a dime about these small details, they just wanna drive from A to B, nothing else matter...

That will cost you more in the long run when your paint starts to peel.
