New England Region
After my District of Columbia post, I then thought about the New England Region being one map expansion for the East Coast. And this is because it has six small states and they'll (should) be simple to connect.

What states are included:
- Maine
- New Hampshire
- Vermont
- Massachusetts
- Rhode Island
- Connecticut

Is this a good idea on what New England might be? Give your thoughts.

(P.S. I'm a Massachusetts person. :happy_yeti:)

Probably some variation on that, only time will tell how they get bundled together

the 6 New England states are about 72k square miles combined, about the same size as Washington state (18th in size). Missouri is 21st in size at just under 70k square miles. It would make sense for them to be a bundle.

My thoughts would be kinda biased. So far they released each seperately, each with their own price depending on size and amount of work to create it. I don't see this being any different.

Curious to see how they'll deal with RI. It's literally gonna be just Providence at this scale.

That's because most states out west were large enough to be sold individually. On ETS2, they bundle smaller countries together, including their most recent release of the West Balkans. No reason to believe they won't do same for ATS and smaller states as they move further east. I think SCS has even said this would be the case.

Living in NH, it would be nice to see how accurate the maps would be around here. That being said, I wish they would slow down a little on the maps and focus a little more on realism. I know I know, it's a simulation BUT I use other Sims that have incredible detail. I would gladly pay more for mods that would incorporate coal rolling out the stacks, see actual damage to the vehicles, random weather (SNOW) with difficulty on the roads, a CB, shifter that moves, just to name a few. Like I said, I would gladly pay SCS or whatever company that joins them. That's my rant, I'm out LOL.

They should have started with a larger scale to begin with.

And 20 real hours to drive across Texas.

I wonder if it's possible to increase the scale as the states get smaller. They already do that with cities. Like, I wonder if they can subtly go from 1/20 to 1/15 as you get into states like Indiana and Ohio and get even bigger as you go further east.

What they do with cities essentially makes them take up WAY more room scale-wise on the map. If they changed scale for any state, that state wouldn't line up with the connecting state(s).

They started with an even smaller scale actually. Once they realized how popular the game was getting, they changed the scale from 1:35 (?) to 1:20 to essentially match the scale of ETS2. Doing this change required remaking the entire map from scratch again.

We need 1 to 1 scaling, photo real graphics, and 4 day cross country trips, with no stops except when you sleep. Wear a diaper, use a bottle, whatever. You can get your cheeseburger and sodie water when you block up the fuel island.

And you pay for digital diesel with real dollars! And you car insurance rates go up if you're in an in-game accident.

We'll need multiple Petabyte hard drives, a fiber internet connection, an i21 256 core processor, 256 GB of RAM and a 6090 graphics card to run it.
