boat transport
Anyone know where to find a boat/yacht transport job? Do I need a specific trailer?

I seem to have the most luck in Washington/Oregon, with the destination being Montana(?) for the most part oddly enough. If you have Texas, go to the Southern cities along the gulf.

Iirc, it's a lowboy cargo so either have one attached or use the freight market.

Thanks. Don`t have Montana yet . I`ll keep it in mind in the future.

Which boat are you after? There is a 'Service Boat' cargo amongst the Special Transport loads, which cannot be taken on your own trailer and can only be found in Portland, OR or Truckee, CA. There is a cargo just called 'Boat', which requires its own trailer which is also not ownable, that can be found at various shipyards (Haddock, Sea Horizon, Tera) and rail depots (GARC, Lone Star, Rail Export) although more readily at the former as they only supply a small number of cargoes whereas the logistics companies supply more than half the cargoes in the game.

I just now found one, seems luck based IMO https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3143850219

They show up at random in the freight/cargo lists. Just keep checking from time to time, mainly from coastal places. What I've seen so far, best chances are in Oregon Washington and Texas.

Most specific jobs are 'luck based' - the Service Boat is one of seven possible cargoes on that Portland to Newport route, and one of six on Truckee to Oakland. Since there are only two jobs active on any given route at any given time you only have a 28.5% chance of the Service Boat being one of the Portland jobs and 33% of it appearing from Truckee. Add to that the fact that Special Transport jobs can take several days to expire and you might have to wait a week or more of in game time, longer if your luck is bad, for one to show.

Bootleg is referring to Boat cargoes not Service Boat, I believe, and thus you are talking past each other regarding areas of the map. You won't find a Service Boat in WA or TX for instance.

I would add to that the further you are from a state, the less chance jobs populate in those states, atleast it seems so. i was over in KS, OK and TX mostly and found all special jobs except boat foe days.... when i got closer to CA/NV border, it popped up.

Not sure what you are trying to express there, but the job list for Quick Jobs/Freight Market will be randomly generated in exactly the same way wherever you are in the game - as jobs for each depot in the game expire new ones are generated (or not in some cases) and this cycle repeats ad infinitum. With all official map DLCs installed there are currently 3,800 job offer slots in the game around 3,000 to 3,200 of which will be populated with a job at any given point in time with the remainder on a hidden internal timer for the job generation process to try again.

Got the Montana dlc and then suprisingly got a yacht job out of bellingham to of all places ... Bakersfield. Previosly tried several times getting a yacht haul out of upper Washington area.
