W900 Drivers Engine Question
Is there much in it between the Cummins ISX 15 600 hp engine and the CAT 625 hp one? Just unlocked the Cummins engine and debating whether to wait until the CAT one is available. What are your experiences? I currently have the 500 hp ISX 15.

The sounds were the same when i tested it, just more power really everyone on the multiplayer uses the 625hp w900, its the new euro volvo

It's more on the fuel economy and load pulling side with a heavy load on and an incline the 500 hp isx kinda grinds to a morbid 20mph chug and it feels like I might as well drill a hole in the tank and pour my diesel on the road with my foot that flat to the floor. Ruins the mpg for the run.

Actually there is a slight difference in the amount of torque you get from each engine, although the Cummins ISX 600 seems to have just as much HP as the Cat (and yes i do know that theres a 25HP difference, but in relative terms its a marginal difference) but the CAT has a lot more torque which is what you need for those steep hills and heavy loads, thats why in ETS2 you can out pull a volvo FH that has a 600HP engine, while youre using a scania 490HP, the Torque is pretty identical in those engines meaning that if you have the same trailer weight, you can get away just as quick, even though you have 110HP less.

No power and 13 speed, fun. :) Means I am down to 20 or less on big pulls, which is about the same as I get IRL. Just personal pref, plus I don't really care about economy so holding it flat all day doesn't bother me much. each to their own though so you do whatever you think feels good, what others think isn't all that important, no offence to anyone either. :)

In game there is no difference between the 600 and 625 engines since both engines produce the same amount of torque. HP is just a cosmetic figure and the effect of an extra 25HP on torque over time like it would have IRL is not simulated.

If it ain't a CAT it's a DOG!

3408 runs forever! 3412 is a Buzzin' Dozen!
