The Proper Review of ATS

Many trolls and idiots have posted fake, whining and completely disrespectful "Reviews" of this game, so im writing a review personally to show this kids up as complete fakers.

First off, as we all know, American Truck Simulator takes the beloved world of Euro Truck Simulator 1 and 2 to the great US of A, where we can drive through iconic cities, rural areas and interstates. From the start the game only comes with the first two states, California and Nevada, and 3 trucks, The Peterbilt 579, the Kenworth T680 and the Kenworth W900, although it feems the game is extremely small in comparison to its bigger brother, ETS2 which from launch was much larger and had a larger fleet of trucks from the start, but that was purely down to the fact that ETS2 was effectively an expansion to the original Euro Truck Simulator before that, which, when it was launched, had a very small map and very few drivable trucks, ETS2 took what ETS had become by the end and just expanded the game further with a few more trucks and a little more drivable land, This is how ATS will be going, at least i hope thats how, so to all those that keep whining the map is small and we have very few trucks, theres your reason.

Now to the fun part, the Pros and Cons of the game:

Pros:
ATS is very well Optimised and is able to run at 30FPS on a lot of very basic computers, good for the beginner gamer
ATS has a lot more dynamic mechanics to in comparison to ETS2 including weigh stations that you can be called into at random, Actual police vehicles in the AI traffic which have the power to fine you for speeding, driving the wrong way and causing collisions, amongst other things.
ATS feels more alive, more lived in compared to ETS2
ATS has a more dirty and realistic graphics style to buildings and roads where big cracks, dirt and graffiti are found on manny roads and buildings accross the map
The trucks in ATS are a lot more detailed with all the working switches and dials amongst other features
ATS brings a new feature for parking a trailer where you can now choose the difficulty of the parking space given to you from advanged and challenging spots, to simple easy spots and even just no need to park it yourself at all.
ATS captures the feel of the states with the changes in temperature, humidity and the surround ground that you drive through
ATS also brings a lot of the traffic laws from the US into the game such as the ability to turn right on a red light, as long as theres no traffic crossing the lights of course!!
There is also a huge Modding community for the game already with mods being created and updated on a daily basis.
Although the map is small and the number of trucks is few, you do get to make a bond with your vehicle and it still takes a long time to travel from corner to corner if you stick to the limits and drive like a real person.

There are so many Pros to the game when you dont completely relate it to its older brother ETS2, but there are a few niggling Cons that i have found in the game:

Cons:
There isnt as much truck customisation as of yet as we had in ETS2, which in some ways is good because theres no christmas tree trucks anymore, but does take away some of the sense of personalisation that you have with your truck
Some speed limits do waver a little, especially outside of cities
The AI still has the tendency to not want to let you pull out of junctions and sometimes still doesnt know you exist, but its easy to live with
The weather could do with being a little more dynamic depending upon state and even upon what part of a state youre in.
There are yet to be any Extreme loads, whether it be Oversized, Overweight or super fragile trailers, but hopefully as time goes on we will see more DLCs and more variations to the base game.

And thats really it, a lot of people make post stating that SCS do nothing, or have bad a crappy game and so on, but from a personal point of view, i know how hard it is to design, create and update a game, especially one that is following in the footsteps of a great sucess, such as ETS2, but from me, i feel SCS deserve some slack and a lot of credit for pulling off such a feat and giving us a very decent game that any respectable gamer will know will be added to and expanded beyond belief as time goes on, so..

Well, the sentence

has definitely nothing to do in a Review and mainly shows, that you are behaving like an angry kid.

Steam has a function to let you write Reviews. I did (you should be able to access it via my profile) and it was fun. So why don`t you do that too instead of insulting other users? Protip: Don`t use words, that get replaced with hearts.

I love it how in the World of Internet everyone assumes that everyone else is a child. Like it would even matter. This game is not forbidden from children as far as I'm aware.

Good overall brief assessment. Of course there are pro and cons, there always are, but ultimately is it worth the cost. Huge yes. I’m amazed at how immersive the graphics are. I've lived in California all my life, and though compression could be less, we'll see when they add more states, its amazing to me how SCS captured the ‘feel’ of driving in California and Nevada. And yes, you have to pay attention, but that’s how driving is. I enjoy just being in this game (vs just trying to get to the next level, or whats around the corner, etc). And that’s the difference of a good game vs a great game.

oh go F*** yourself mate, im trying to give an unbiased opinion here and all you childish little girls dont like it because its not the, "oh i hate SCS for the sake of it" bs most people like to post on here, when someone makes a fair, calculated post like this, it is expected not to get ♥♥♥♥ on in the first sentence and called angry, im not angry, at least, i wasnt when i wrote the post originally. But after the first few posts on here im pretty darn pissed off, and yes it is in response to that ♥♥♥♥ Aries because he "claims" hhes writng from truth and writing a "review" on the game, all hes doing is spouting BS and hate towards the game, no mention of Pros of the game, just hate hate hate, which, if i were SCS, would make me think, why bother making a game for people to hate on and call a disgrace, it would be all your guys faults if SCS decide to not make any more truck sims, because of your negative, biased ideas.

thanks buddy, i agree with you, the game is worth the cost in the long run because look at what we will eventually have, people keepp complaining that the game is too small, we shouldnt have to pay for states and all that, but what people dont understand is that it costs a lot of money to create a game, create DLCs and updates, its the only way a indie company can make any profit is to sell some of the DLCs created and give some away to intice more people to buy the game, a great game is always never completed until it is, a average game is fully complete on its first release.
