Plus you actually can see around the upgraded stacks just depends on the mirror you have. The mirror with the little circle mirror sucks, doesn't give you alot of visibilty. However, if you get the mirror WITHOUT the little circle mirror you have way better visibilty.
Internal views can be a little bit truck-dependent.. Size of cab interior and window positions/sizes in particular might need specific tweaking to work properly with a view definition from another vehicle, depending.
In the case of the T908 you'll lose the 'roll around to the passenger seat' feature it's authors configured into the view definition. Personally I don't much care for it but if you want that feature back yourself I can post the changes required.
I like to look out of the window to reverse. Your code solved it. The only thing different now is the default poosition when buying a new 908 is the POV has one's face plastered against the windshield. 'Pushing the seat back' only goes far enough to not quite see the full side-mirror. Seeing as I use both HUD mirrors in the 908 it doesn't matter to me, but I don't think it's the same case with the W900. Those two trucks are what I drive most and getting around the heat shields to see behind me is now overcome with both trucks. Good stuff.
This co-ordinate parameter, at the top of the definition, specifies the viewpoint offset from the viewpoint origin in the 3D model:
The T908 has this set with a few centimetres of Z bias:
Adjust it however you like. NOTE, in the case that it wasn't already apparent, that the co-ordinates are in metres.
The field of view parameter may also be useful here, you can adjust it along with the head offset to increase your view of the side mirror somewhat. Personally I like to keep the FoV relatively low as I prefer to be able to see a little further into the distance more than out to the sides, as well as keep noticeable view distortion as low as possible (a personal preference):
NOTE:
With freeform mods like this (contained in raw folder, rather than zipped) you can make adjustments at anytime, however for them to take effect in-game you still need to exit to the profile selection menu, then reload the relevant profile.
Is your mod tweaking default view? I tried it out and my "front and centre" view is looking about 45 degrees up into the ceiling of the cabin.
Note: I use EDtracker so that might interfere with it somehow
Wow... sorry for such a late response, I never received a notification of a new post for this thread subscription. Weird.
I guess you're long past caring by now, but anyway the simple answer is no, nothing changes here except how far your head position moves as the view is rotated through about 150 degrees onward around the left... and the extents of the allowable pitch through which you're allowed to elevate the view.
I suspect there may possibly be something conflicting in regards to the relaxed pitch extents but personally I'm highly doubtful. In any case, if you want to you can try adjusting the following parameter:
right up near the top of the file just above the shake animation block. Set it more negative to lower the default view pitch.
This is how it is on the actual truck as well, so go drive something else maybe?
