FREE MONEY - Millions of dollars

Something very strange just happened to my game.

I am only a level 13 driver, still paying back some loans I had gotten from the bank like most of you I am sure....so last night I tried out the online multiplayer and I did 2 deliveries...wow bad drivers out there...either way, 1 delivery was late and I did not earn any money. The other was on time and I banked a cool 11,000.

My loan installment came out and I ended up leaving the game with $6,000 in the bank I could spend.

I currently have 2 garages and 2 drivers.

I saved the game and left it for the day.

Fired it up today and still $6,000 in the bank. I had some damage to the truck from online drivers...so I go and find a service station.

$6,000 more than enough to fix the damage. I pull into the garage and BOOM my income jumps from $6,000 to $4,513,577

Did ATS give out money to everyone today or did I just get a lucky bug.

Thought I read it had something to do with if you have hired drivers it gives you like 90 weeks worth of work when you go online the first time. Time dif between offline vs on. Not sure.

This reminds me of something that happened to my parents 30 years ago, when their bank had made a mistake and they suddenly had 20.000.000 bucks on their account.

No, it's a glitch with how the MP mod works. The time in that world never stops so when you leave and come back the game calculates how much your workers have done in that intervening time and BONK! You're suddenly a millionaire.

WHen I fired the game up it was in offline mode today. I never went online at all...just very strange for it to go from 6K to 4.5M. I had hired drivers for a week now and I have not seen a income jump like this.They usually make 1K per delivery.

Just strange, I guess I should stop asking and start spending before it gets taken away from me. Too bad there wasnt a log showing how I made that money

So if I play the MP then quit, and come back 2 days later, it thinks I been on for 2 days playing? I mean I only did 2 deliveries on MP and was only about 40 minutes of game time.

Its nice to see the money there, trust me, but it now takes away from the game because I was having more fun trying to stay above breaking point and working to earn it.

If I made that much with 2 drivers, Im gonna have to spend it on upgrading grages, hiring drivers and buying trucks...then enter MP and see how many I get with about 20 drivers and 3 or more garages

It doesn't matter that you started in offline mode. The calculations for determining drivers' results are all based on compressed, non-linear time as it runs in the single-player mode.

The MP mod can't use the non-linear time progression without causing problems with syncing between all of the players on the server and they couldn't change those calculations so you get the "bonus" of earning massive amounts for your drivers' work when you're not logged in.

Wish I had known that before yesterday, I wouldnt have went on MP. Rather earn it than have it handed to me. Probably why they dont offer microtransactons to purchase money. I liked it that way. Oh well ill take it.

Between things like this and missing quick jobs I am glad I have avoided the MP mod up until now.

If I ever get the urge to try it then you can bet that it will be with a different profile.

I stopped reading when ya said multiplayer, sounds like a glitch or a cheat with that mod so not really surprised :P

Yeah I know MP has its own thread but I am playing offline and i was given the money. It really sucks...should not be allowed...all them hours wasted for free money. Takes the sumulator out and now its just american trucker

Yeah I know MP has its own thread but I am playing offline and i was given the money. It really sucks...should not be allowed...all them hours wasted for free money. Takes the sumulator out and now its just american trucker

You should be able to revert to an earlier save where you didn't touch multiplayer. Game keeps tons of Auto saves.

This is why I make 2 seperate profiles -- one specifically for singleplayer, and one for multiplayer because the MP is known to have tons of bugs/random stuff happening

I tried all my autosaves and the money will NOT go away. Was having so much fun too...I guess I will just have to go speeding around and rack up 4 million dollars of fines and never go on MP again
