Low FPS
I tried to find the answer but I didn't find one working properly for me. I have low fps perform. most of the time when I'm traveling in a city. I almost put everything at low res. but I still have this problem.
This is my setup
Motherboard ASUS Z87-A
Processeur intel i7-4790 @ 3.60GHz
Gigabyte GTX 970 g1 4Gb
Mémoire Kingston 8Gb Fury

My hard drive is not full. I can play most of recent games without any issue. (BO3, GTA5, Tom Clancy's the Division...) I really don't have any clue where it's come from. I did a re-installation too. If you have any idea, I'll take it.

Thanks

It's a pretty common issue, the only thing that really helped me on FPS was toning down from 400% to 300% scaling, I also keep AA off. With everything on ultra, it looks and runs pretty good at 300% on 1080p.

I have the same card. What I did was turn scaling down to 100%, turn off MLAA, and add antialiasing through an Nvidia Inspector profile. Runs great for me

I got my 980 Ti today, all settings maxed out except the scaling to 200% .. I still receive down to 40fps in cities. I think it's a game optimization issue o:

Euro Truck has the same problem. I have GTX 970 too but nvidia, with i7 4790K @ 4GHz and 16gb RAM. I'm OK with 35-45 fps on cities. I gave up after trying a lot of different settings.

Sorry guys,

I did what you write and it work perfectly. Thanks you for your comments!

After i fixe it, I have found a very funny thing. I did a couple of stream with ATS and this problem is come back and only when I'm in the city.
So if I'm in a city and I start streaming, FPS goes under 17 and if I stop, it's above 30 fps. So I'm not sure if it's a problem between ATS and OBS. What make me think that is, when I'M streaming my CPU is between 25% and 40%, memory at 67%, HDD usage 1% and less, and GPU 50%. No drope frame and even I'm using the lowest resolution on the game and to stream, I get this problem. Nothing to let me think that I am over using ressources on my computer and on my internet conection.

I think it's not easy to stream with this chopy situation, but yesterday I make it. I think I'm not the only one in this situation. I have a friend who have the same GPU and a earlyer generation CPU than me and he don't have this problem while streaming. What he have more than me is, more memory and a SSD. So I guess, that I can correct the situation by adding one of those.

Best regards

I don't know how you guys are having FPS issues.... You all have intel CPU's

I'm on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ FX-8320 3.5ghz stock... and a evga 980... I have scaling to 400% with everything on ultra... I never drop below 60 FPS unless it's multiplayer and there's 40+ trucks around... So I don't see how you don't have a solid 60 fps, you have a better CPU than I do.

fx 8150 4.5 ghz 960 gtx 300 scaling all to ultra setting 1080p 50-100 fps everytime drop sometime to 45 in city

Yeah, I solved partialy my problem during a stream. To Erohw I have this problem while streaming. So if you guys are streaming, two things can help to have less chopy images while st reaming. Choose game capture instead of window capture and if you are using webcam, do not change any resolution. Use it as OBS want it and your stream will be better.

Have a good time on ATS!

What seems to improve a tiny bit is that mm pool size in launch options. Apparently For 8gb is 1600. Im trying values between 3100-3200 (16gb)

8350 @4.8ghz
990 FX r2.0
16 GB DDR 1866
Ocz vertex 3 240gb
780ti sli

Well there must have been some recent updates that have fixed this issue, because im playing this at 3840x2160p maxed out settings @ 60FPS and I'm running:

i7 4790k @4.4Ghz
16GB 2400Mhz DDR3 Ram
EVGA GTX970 FTW Edition ACX 2.0 4GB
Installed on a 1TB Samsung 850 Evo SSD

Yes, probably.
I have two things that I am missing on my setup, the K on the i7 and the SSD ;)

Have a good day!

I use 100% scaling only using nVidia DSR set to 4k (3840x2160), MLAA - Off. Its buttery smooth even in the cities, rarely drops below 55fps with everything set to max, except shadows and reflections are toned down a bit. I also have a GTX 970 but a slower i5 4690k CPU. Try it.
