air pressure
ive noticed in peterbilt that if for any reason i use brakes alot i loose air pressure fast..not a general serious problem..but one night i pulled into a motel..shut down for night woke up no air..st ther probley a good ten minutes waiting on air to build..finally in game time 15 mins i build like 30psi and moved a loil till i braked again and hadda wait another 10 to 15 mins..in real life this is aviolation..should take no more than a few minutes a build up air pressure from zero..

Go in neutral and rev engine

Yeah you have to rev engine I'm neutral, IRL the truck has to build up to i believe 120psi in 30 seconds at 1500rpm.

I turned the air brake simulation off since my 579 IRL doesn't lose pressure like it does in the game. It became very annoying.

Has to reach in-between 117 and 137 psi under a minute at high idle ~ 1100 RPM.

just rev it, once it hits the top of the red marking it will move just don't use the brakes till its built up more. really realistic though sometimes its over the top
yea in real life that´s the time you use to fill out some paperwork and recheck your stuff, while one foot plays with the gas :)

in ETS2 and ATS you can have sip of your coffee xD

ah these morning rituals ;)

When parking to rest set your parking brake. you won't lose as much air. When you wake make sure truck is in nuetral and rev engine to build air if needed.

You can`t REV engine if your using an AUTO

You have 'realistic air brake' system enabled.

You won't lose air pressure overnight unless your truck is damaged. The higher the damage level on your truck, the faster you lose air pressure. At low damage levels (below 10%) you shouldn't be having any problem with air pressure overnight.

I have been playing ETS2 with air brake on and I have never noticed where the air pressure notification is..

Where is it?!

I use Auto but I still have keys on controller for manually going into N, R, or D.

Dash mounted gauge, so it depends on the truck... just pump your service brakes while watching the dashboard, you'll soon locate the air pressure gauge :).

I've ran out of air once so far in ATS. I've wrecked both Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks significantly. Level 18, 100% map completion (read: I have plenty of driven test miles). I was shocked, shocked I I say, at how easy it is to avoid it in ATS as opposed to ETS2, where it is a somewhat frequent nuisance for me.

I use the real auto gearbox option. Neutral, revs, ???, profit.

Have to switch to real auto in settings, it will allow you to switch to neutral.

I like to keep the air brake simulation on while playing with controls set to simple automatic, just for realism. When I'm parking a trailer in a difficult spot, I will switch to sequential if I run out of ait pressure, shift into neutral and rev the engine to build pressure back up. I will then complete the job using sequential transmission until the trailer is parked, then switch back to simple automatic. I have noticed, however, that the trucks in ATS do lose air pressure quickly...not sure how realistic that is compared to a real truck.
