Recruiting - How often do employees cycle
I have a truck in need of an employee, but when I go into the Recruiting Agency screen the driver choices are horrible (rotten starting skills). I have just played on and rested several times thinking maybe the choices would cycle but still have the same choices.

How often do they update? Will I see new options?
Do I see different options if I actually visit a Recruitment Agency?

You will rarely get great choices after your first couple of hires. Just hire someone and let them start leveling up.

The drivers in the Recruitment Agencies will be bad at the beginning. When you get more skill yourself and you have discovered most of the agencies there will gradually be better drivers to find. In the start you will have to stick with low level drivers.

I realize that and I am not looking for amazing drivers. Just ones with a little better starting skills. The first two on my list have two levels of Hazardous and nothing else. My garage is in L.A. and I don't think there is much Hazardous coming or going from there.

I'd be happy with one level of Long distance and one in either fragile, high value or just in time.

That is why I was wondering if the ever cycle. I don't need an employee immediately but I do have a truck waiting for one.

The drivers are randomly selected when you start the game, you can restart and see if you get anything different.

Just hire a driver and be done with it. If you have a truck already waiting, you do need a driver immediately.

They skill up so fast at the start that it doesn't really matter what their starting skills are..

As others mentioned, you will never get amazing skilled drivers. However its probably best to pick a lower skilled driver and level him/her up your own way earning the skills you want them to learn not just pick one that has random stats but higher skill rating.

Yeah, I will probably hire one anyway.

Again, I was not looking for amazing. I am perfectly content with hiring a 1.7 or even a 0.8 level driver . I was just looking for one without all their skills being useless out of the gate. This will be my third driver so I have found passable low level drivers.

I simply wondered if they cycled at all.

no skills are "useless" in a hired driver..

Eventually that is true, but I don't think there is anyone of us who would hire a driver with 2 ranks of fuel economy over one that had two ranks of long distance.

I will check tonight when I get home from work but this just came up before I finished playing last night. Since there were no obvious hiring choices I just closed the game and went to bed. Now, since I can't play now anyway I figured that it could not hurt to ask.

I have to admit the choices for recruitment aren't very good. They all look like very active members of the "LSD for lunch bunch".

Never seen so many glass eyeballs! J/K

actually, in ETS2 I did a large test. Groups of 15 drivers maxing a single skill. The group of 15 eco drivers were the highest earners overall.

The highest I ever seen hiring a employee driver is 2.7 rating, but that is very rare.

Makes you wonder...

I ended up firing one my drivers because his earnings just did not keep up with the rest...and his skill level was 1.7 equal to others Ive hired...anyone see a diff in various drivers that earn way less ...etc

That is something you could ignore, as the ai should take jobs too for which they do not need a skill level....like when we start playing the game...

lol. Yeah, there are some shady looking dudes (and dudettes) at the R.A. Was going to hire this one guy but his P.O. wouldn't allow him to leave the state of Nevada.

SCS, could you please add background checks to the R.A. I have alot of things coming up missing at the shop recently. Guess I have to install Security Cameras. :)
