New York and the East Coast
How will it take for SCS Software to get to New York and the rest of the east coast?

It will takes years to reach the east coast. After Arizona they are doing Texas, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington then moving east from there.
well they also could do all the states at north- and south borders and both coast lines, running a circle so to say, then drive a line from west to east and fill the rest up later, but thats pure speculation... the current line-up makes it a possibility ...

3-4 years I would imagine for all of America.

I would rather they finish the west coast. Have the entire length of I-5 from Washington State and Oregon to California and Arizona. Then after that it makes sense for them to expand eastward in paid DLC. I will be fine with this as long as they finish a full West-Coast route.

That's probably their plan, finshing west coast then going east starting with major states.

Seems like Utah would a gaping hole in the middle of that, but I could understand them not committing to doing that state at the same time, given the amount of diverse geography it contains.

If they choose to implement coast to coast deliveries, they could make NJ/NY states and then connect San Francisco and Teaneck via I-80, then I-95 to NY. I-80 in this case could have just rest/fuel stops with all exits closed until other states are created.

It should get faster because it's a very popular game and they'll get better at making them. Less bugs to deal with as time goes by. States in the east are smaller - takes less time.

Even with generous combining of the smaller states into packs, and figuring on two DLCs a year, you'd still have to be looking at 10 years to get the rest of the 42 states, and that's VERY optimistic. If SCS plans to keep supporting ATS to 2030+, (and as long as we keep buying the DLCs), then we'll get to New York.

It's 2021we have 9 states available to us and 2 more on the way one of them being the largest in mainland US my money is on that the next one after Wyoming and Texas will be Montanta and then i rekon from their I rekon they will do Kansas first then Nebraska then north and south Dakota as well as Oklahoma and i think most of the Eastern states will come in one or maybe two dlc given the size of Texas if it is all good so me is thinks we will have Elder scrolls 6 when the full US map is full you also got to think they been focusing on Euro truck sim 2 by the looks of things considering their isnt much of Europe left for them to finish
