Stopping Twice at Stop Signs
I've noticed that AI traffic cars stop twice at stop signs: once when they get to the sign, and again when they pull part-way out into the intersection. It's really annoying!

I do this almost all the time driving in real life. By law you must stop behind the stop line painted at stop signs. (Generally to keep from plowing over pedestrians) then before turning out have to creep up to actually see if other cars or trucks are coming. Annoying but not unrealistic to see.

Yeah, this isn't terribly uncommon. As Jon said, people may stop at the line, where they're supposed to, then inch forward as necessary to see traffic.

That is true, but AI traffic even does it at intersections with good visibility.

Yes. Most people don't know that. When I was learning to drive, my mom used to tell me I was wrong for stopping before the line.

Thats because the devs screwed up and added both to the game. No road I have even seen in Real life in the States I have been to in the U.S. have both. Its one or the other. 99% of the time on semi busy roads its lights only. Also missing turn lights, yellow lights too short, speed limit signs in the wrong place or missing, lots of road rules are broken because of the lack of knowledge....

It's probably hard for a European company to make a game that gets the feel of the US right. Rockstar North (in Scotland) put in a lot of effort to get GTA V right.
