I think it's +10%, though, not necessarily +5 MPH.
Most cops will allow it, thats true.
But technicaly speaking if your going 2mph over the posted limit you can be pulled over and ticketed. The only reason its not 1mph over is to account for variances in speedometers.
Obviously. I'm simply pointing out that you can go 5 MPH over with the stationary cops but apparently not with the ones driving on the roads.
Chalk it up to the mood of the different police - just like real life? More "sim" like! :)
Cops in the UK have ticketed people for 1-3 mph differences, only for said ticket to go to court, and get quashed because no speedometer is THAT accurate. It's simply a technical impossibility. Not sure what the U.S cops are like, but if they're anything like ours, it wouldn't surrpise me.
And about the difference between stationary and moving cops, I just assume the stationary ones are taking naps.
