Wish list for ATS
First let me say I'm loving game it's lacking content but I know between scs and mod community this will be a lot bigger shortly

Any way here is my top 10 add yours or comment on mine let's hope we get some additions to the already great but very small game

1. Alaska would be a great map to add
2. Chassis options for heavy hauling
3. Jazzy cat trailer packs
4. A lot more tuning options
5. Heavy and wide loads we actually have much better roads than euro truck for trailers
6. Better sound I honestly can't hear my keyword the in cab
7. Trucks parked in rest stops rather than empty fields for immersion mainly
8. Events like in pro mods there was random accidents on side of road or a building on fire I like the tumbleweed edition but a little more life to the game is needed I feel
9. Slightly increase traffic in rush hour times
10. Steam workshop support the game seems to be only available via steam and the excuse for eurotruck not having it was boxed copy this would make managing mods a lot easier and open up the community a lot more for instance look at Xcom 2 it's been out less than a week and you can convert the entire game in a few clicks this I feel is the biggest addition that could ever be added

Learn to drive Marrow.

@OP: I'm with you on your list. I'd really like to see more tuning options on the default trucks.

Why? SCS needs to make money too. The amount of 'game' needed to cover the entire country is HUGE. That's a lot of work on SCS's part!! I fully expect to pay for additional states as they develop them, just as we did with ETS2.

It should be, but it's not.

I want all of North, Central, and even South America--and yes, I'm including Hawaii and various other islands in that list.

I also want bloody left turn arrows!

Yes it's called gravity! Use your parking brake if you have to stop on a hill then when traffic starts to pull ahead dont pop the clutch hold with rpm and then release the brake and go! Or you could hold yourself there by hold the RPM up and work the clutch.. Good luck!
KEEP THE DIRTY SIDE DOWN!!!

To avoid backrolling at a uphill offramp, adjust your speed so that you roll slowly up on to the stopline.
If you are lucky the cars/trucks ahead of you has already make their turns, and the intersection is free for you to stop at the stop line.

It's called "plan ahead" and it's very crucial in real life trucking.

But if someone prefer the "racing" mode...Well...

This is my list of wishes for ATS:
. Mod for employees profiles with all tv series characters of "Ice Road Truckers";
. Continuous growth of the number of states;
. Our garage become a warehouse too. I mean, we could collect the cargoes from our clients, store and then deliver. In this mode i think it would be great if we be able to manage our drivers and assign there jobs.
. Long term contracts like in the game "TransOcean-The shipping Company". In this mode our clients contract us to deliver a certain number of cargoes to be deliver in a limited time. This is very often a reality in our real life companies. If we accomplish the contact objective there will be a payment bonus for our good work or a penalize amount if our company dont reach the objective.
. A possibility of buying our own trailers and distribute them to our clients. When they have cargoes they just email us to deliver their cargo. Of course this just make sense if we could have some fantasy companies to choose from to make them our brand. All the trucks, trailers, garage/warehouse would be painted with that brand such as FedEx, UPS, Stobart, etc...

This game series have such a huge roll of options to improve i believe it as the potential to be a future reference in the world of simulator games. I hope SCS continues to believe in this project like i do! =)

As others have said this is by design, represents what would actually happen with a manual transition, and adds some much needed challenge to the game.

So make ATS less about driving a truck and more about managing a trucking company? No thanks, might be enjoyable for some, I'd rather drive.

32 bit version. Unsupported Version not enough. I wish for a full game of 32 bit.

Isn't it obvious.. none of that is coming. They are content with just making a new map on the same engine and giving us Online Contracts. They had 2 years to develop some significant feature to make this game the next gen truck simulator...the fact that they are boasting of their work in 2 short years is worrisome. There has been nothing really noteworthy coming from SCS for years now. It's basically the modding community developing for an aged engine, that was never a good truck simulator to begin with. There's trucks sure, but they don't act like trucks, nor sound nor feel like them. Just completely subpar.

If you dislike the game so much why are you on the forums posting over and over and over and over and...........

Instead of using the parkig brake as suggest us your truck breaks and trailer parks (Default bound to N) Put the truck in gear, Release the truck brakes when you clear to drive but keep the park brakes on and at the same give the truck throttle. The truck should move foward a touchbut then stop moving as the engine reves, once that happens release the truck brakes.

What a like to see is different police cars depending where you at. Or at ever least the different state police cars. Maybe even comerical enforncement units.
