Pimp My Truck Achievement.

Buying the yellow with flames paint job did not unlock this achievement. It did unlock when I chose "Custom Metallic Color".

Well I consider repainting a stock white truck with the yellow with flames paint job a custom paint job, however, it didn't pop the achievement only wasted 5K.

Also saving game in Single Player before you buy any paint and then just load game once its done helps to save money on this achievment... And later you can use this money to buy the parts or paint and so on, on stuff you really want ;) Wanted to write this ages ago but always forgot somehow... Enjoy!

Personally i couldn´t get this achievement until i used red, blue, yellow metallic paint. No idea why but that solved the quest in ETS 2. Guess ATS should be the same..

Definitely a bug, or at least poorly described. I wasted money on a custom paint job that I only bought to get the achievement. I didn't get the chieve... wasted money. AND, I used a color that was specifically labelled as a custom color.

This worked for me :
Guys, try the DIVIDED PAINT JOB, and Select EACH color yourself.
I did it on a Pete, in a International Dealership and it worked.

It works all you gotta do is buy the custom metalic paint job and mess around with the colours with your own truck at a repair shop and you get the achivements

I purchased, then bought and applied the custom metallic paint job, did not activate the achievement, I then purchased several paint schemes then changed and applied the colors, still nada, I gave up, then reapplied my original custom metallic paint job, which I saved, and that is when the achievement unlocked.

It took me a lot of tries for this to figure it out. There are paint jobs that were preset and there are paint jobs which you can select (customize) the color. Select these paint jobs and choose a different color which will show (for me its on the upper right of the screen)

Save the game before (you can reload if you need), enter in the any worshop, select color and change to metallic custom color, click in the 3 small squares to change the 3 base colors and press ok to confirm. I taked today.
