Skinning trucks for ATS is exactly the same as skinning trucks for ETS2

SKIN PROPERTIES
Skin Name
Internal Name
Unlock Level
Cost
Use Alternate UV set
TRUCK SKIN
Select you skin file in "truck skin" section
Select colors of your skin if it have mask color
WORKSHOP ICON
Select workshot icon
EXPORT
Then press "Export mod' button.
Export as ZIP file. Don't set "lock mod file"
Open skin archive you just exported
go to "def/vechicle/truck" from the extracted archive
create folder "peterbilt.579" or 'kenworth.t680'
copy .sii file from your base truck "paint_job" to "def/vechicle/truck/peterbilt.579/paint_job/"
Replace accessory_paint_job_data
such as "whatever.volvo.fh16_2012.paint_job"
to "skin name here.peterbilt.579.paint_job"
You don't need to bother with .dds conversions as ETS2Studio does that for you.
Also, try and make the skin image 4096x4096 pixels. This makes for a better quality result.
Don't you need the templates?
If not then how do you know where your placing the decals etc?
In PhotoShop this would mean clicking the 'eye' icon on tht layer to make it invisible.
When you flatten all the layers a message might pop up saying "Discard invisible layers?"
click Yes.
Get the templates here: PNG and PSD formats. Excellent templates they are too.
