Unfortunately no, you can't enter the wash. I've been to every city in CA and NV and have only seen a couple of these. They only function as a rest area.

This would make a neat mod if someone could replace the default object with one that is functional. Actual dirt accumulation on trucks would be cool too (like Farming Simulator did in their newest release).

Having your truck get filthy after a while would be amazing! Love the idea of truck washes! Best "realistic" idea I've seen on the forums yet lol

The manufacturers would not allow it, they dont' want thier trucks showsn dirty or damaged.

Well the manufacturers need to get their heads out of their asses and realize they are making this game worse, not better.
Either that or SCS should just ditch the licensing in favor of a more realistic simulation with dirt accumulation and damage modeling.
I would buy it in a heart beat.

Farm Sim 15 allows it, but I suppose that's a different ball game.

The truck manufactures have a legal obligation to protect the interests of their shareholders, which includes protecting the brand name. The needs of gamers who feel a sense of entitlement not really their concern. SCS has made it pretty clear that they want licensed trucks in ETS and ATS, if the truck manufactures don't want their trucks beat up and dirty then we're not going to see it from SCS. Giants managed to swing dirty tractors in FS15 but dirt on tractors is not necessarily seen as a bad thing. See a dirty ruck, I think that guy needs to wash his truck, see a dirty tractor I think that guys been out plowing his fields. The truck manufactures don't really have that much to gain by allowing their trucks to be in game. You can claim free advertising but what good is free advertising to gamers the vast majority of whom will never be in a position to buy one of their trucks.

The trucks in this game look way too clean and perfect for me... some dirtiness would be nice.

I too thought this was the case, but if you listen to the interview that squirrel did with Pavel he say's that they've done a test of making the trucks get dirty over time and it works quite well, but it sounds like they are waiting for dx11 to implement it.

Actully SCS did a few tests with making trucks dirty, they found it do able but things would need to be changed for it to work properly without killing performance. So this is on their wishlist to get in game at some point.

Edit: There are alot of things that people want to see in ATS and ETS2 that SCS is wanting to get into the game. Some things are easier to do then others. Its just going to take time.

Well be honest most trucks are not wash for outside purpose its the inside. Example when I pick up say tyson chicken drop off a load in real life. My next load is frozen vegetables now they will ask when you contact them if its washed or not if they say it needs be washed reguardles what you had before you have to or have possibility losing them as a client. Most trucking company would rather lose you over the client keep that in mind.

That all said would like a option to make you pick up trailers wash them after certain loads drop them off pick up someone else load known as repower any trucker know what it means.
