Questions about adding Custom Skins/Logos to ATS

As I understand it, it is possible to add custom skins to the trucks in ATS. I’m wondering can we make and add our own custom logo to our profiles.

Also I’m curious about how to go about importing and testing the truck skin since at this time I don’t have my own truck yet.

For profile icons, the easiest way is to connect the profile to a World of Trucks profile and just set an avatar. You don't need to use any other features of the service if you don't want to. Other than that, I don't know off hand where the company icons are currently, but I do know those can be modded; just haven't really bothered myself.

Making skins requires a few programs, like Photoshop with the DDS Plugin, or GIMP, Paint.NET, or something that can export into the DDS format for DXT5. However, that isn't completely necessary, but makes things easier in the end IMO.

There are tutorials online about making and adding skins into ETS2 and ATS, both methods are the same with only truck defs being different and that's about it. You can grab Mods Studio and it helps to simplify the process some. There's also another program, believe it's Bens Easy Modding or something like that, found it on the SCS forum at one point and it's very robust.

I recalled I do asked this question when game come out, but some said you can't had custom logo beside of world of trucks avatar, only you can do avator but not company logo.

I'm pretty sure you can modify the icons, I just never bothered to look. My guess is that they're in a non-standard area maybe, but I can't confirm this.
