Thanks for your help. Can i slow the movement a bit more as i find the camera to be a bit artic. I also had to move my hat the right a bit more. The problem with the camera is when you are driving sometimes it will move to the back cabin or side window with out moving.

Just to check, do you have a bright light that may be interfering with the tracking?

I do have challenges turning the view all the way to the left which transitions out of the cab to look backwards. If my head is unintentially tilted forward, the camera has difficulty tracking the move. Tweaking the camera position on the monitor helped by moving it to the left, so try some radical camera positions.

Im still thinking of getting a trackir, but the cost is huge for what it actually does,

Has anyone done a good review on this product ? is it worth getting the proclip ?
chaseydog Feb 10, 2016 @ 3:23am
Here's mine. Head tracking is slowed down compared to default, eliminated most of the snap back when looking to the right.

Don't waste your money on TrackIR ... you can get the same result with DelanClip or TrackHat Clip for half the price. I have the TrackHat and can recommend it.

Nice!

I always wondered what alternatives to TrackIR are available so thanks a lot for posting this.

Your right the light was affecting the camera as my screen is facing the sliding door to outside. I put down the blind and that solved the problem.

You'll note that the trackhat user proclaims it better than TrackIR, but doesn't HAVE TrackIR for comparison.
Basically, there ARE cheaper alternatives that apparently work well, but a comparison of TrackIR specifications simply shows that you get more for your money.
So it's up to you to decide how far up the cost/quality chain you'd like to go - the alternatives are NOT cheaper/same quality.
MinionJoe Feb 10, 2016 @ 8:26am
I generally just use the One:One profile, boost the multiplier to 3x, and disable roll.
Trego Feb 10, 2016 @ 8:28am
I use smooth profile no problems at all.
Trego Feb 10, 2016 @ 8:42am
Just checked out Track Hat site, very impressive bit of kit and much cheaper than the TrackIR that I have. Luckily for me my pro clip is still intact.
