How do i lock the speed limit so i do not get fines.

I'm trying to stick to the 55mph limit on a stretch of freeway , but without a trailer attatched its very easy for me to reach over 55mph without even trying , in fact its quite anoyying to ease on the break every other second , frustrating when other trucks seems to be well over this speed.

Is there a way to set a lock so you can hold down the accelerator without it actually gaining speed.. Am i describing cruise control ?

Use your cruise control, get to 55 and set the cruise then don't touch the accelerator. The truck will stay at 55 until you break or speed up.

Cruise control is "c" by default.

Speed limiter does not keep you from speeding, some states such as Nevada trucks can go 80 so the limiter won't keep you at 55 to avoid tickets in calidfornia.

You can also bind 'increase CC' and 'decrease CC' to some buttons such as numpad + and -, and you can use those if for example you locked CC at 56mph. You hit the - key and it will drop CC speed to the nearest multiplier of 5.

I think you can change the 'resolution' of the CC somewhere in the options to something other than 5.
