Can't play my own music!
I just copied all shortcuts I had from ETS2 music folder to ATS, but the game just skips some tracks, when ETS2 could play them all. Please, fix that ASAP!

Why don't you just listen to your music outside your game (I use Winamp) while driving? I never use the radio in-game anymore since there's no shuffle button (in ETS2).

I haven't run into this at all, using the same approach of shortcutting to my ETS 2 folder. Maybe some of the files are bad?

came here due to the same issue in ATS. All of my tracks are purchased, and all come from the same source. After the first attempt of adding about 30 tracks, I found that some of them it simply skips. I thought maybe corrupt files somehow, so I deleted them entirely, and redownloaded them...I checked each and every one of them to make sure they were good, then added them one by one after checking them. It still does it. It will play some, but not others. Same format all, same source all, all owned, none pirated, or anything of that nature. It's also, I noticed, the SAME ones it refuses to play. After reloading, I noticed that, skipping the same ones it skipped before. Cannot figure out why. It's not that they're too long, as ones it will play are longer than some of the ones it won't. Also not too short, same thing. Thought for a moment perhaps it was some kind of built in script for censorship, but some songs it won't play are clean in their origin, and it will play an Eminem track I have.

Strip the ID3 Tag info from them.

sorry it took so long to respond. I first had to research what on earth you were talking about, then how to do that. Removing ALL information has had no effect whatsoever, it still skips the ones it doesn't want to play.

Removed ID2 tags as well?

I get my music from You Tube and convert it to MP3. Never had a skiping issue.
Conversion to mp3 usually doesn't add id tags. From what I can gather, ID tags are used to display jpgs when playing the mp3 through iTunes or whatever. Album art, that kind of thing.

I play my music on Spotify. I have had issues with the game not wanting to play many songs and never found a fix. I have had such issues on both ATS and ETS2.

I have a few songs I have downloaded that won't play. But every one I ripped myself from my collection of 140 cd's work perfectly.

G'day Ryu,
I've been looking for such an app to strip/edit ID3 tags from MP3 files, but have not found one YET, that is Free to USE as well as DOWNLOAD.

I've googled for "free id tag editors for mp3 files"
One looked good [said it was free] but found it to be FREE to download and use on max of 10 files for free. Then you had to pay [plenty] to get a full license.

Do you know of some [one] app that is open source or is totally FREE to download and use?

Cheers mate.

The one I use is called Mp3Tag. Been using it for years, never had to pay for anything.

Hmmm. I downloaded Mp3Tag. That's the one that I thought looked good. It indicated I could use it (free) for 10 songs, then I hard to buy a license.
Perhaps I should go back and see if there is a workaround.
Thanks Ryu.

Audacity can remove those tags as well. Great audio program that should still be free last I checked.

Thanks. I removed ID3v1 and ID3v2 Tags and now my songs play in the game. I used MediaMonkey to remove the ID3 tags

Go to ninite.com and download MediaMonkey music player. Go to Tools/Advanced Tag management and select Clear ID3v1 and v2 Tags...

It worked for me and free.
