Recruiting Agencies?
Ok...so far i have discovered (unlocked) 8 recruiting agencies on the map (it looks like there are only 2 left for me to discover making a total of 10 recruting agencies on the map). This being said, when I go to hire a driver there are only two pages of four, for a total of 8 drivers to choose from. Am I to believe that each agency only unlocks ONE driver?...there seemed to have been many more drivers available in ETS2 when you unlocked just a few agencies. Am I missing something? Anyone who has begun to hire drivers finding more to hire than I have? Just curious.

From what I have seen in ETS2, the number of drivers that show up for hire depend on your larval, the number of recruitment centers you have found, and the location of your garage.

Of course, YMMV.
Did you drive into the recruitment agency parking lot to make it yellow on the map?

No i did not. I thought that simply drving by it and revealing it on the map (changing form a question mark to the yellow icon) meant you had unlocked it. Didnt recall actually having to drive into the parking lot to make the drivers at that particular agency available to me in ETS2..but I have slept since then...so...reasons.

Maybe they don't want to inflate the number of drivers in the long run. By the time continental US is finished, you will probably sit on over 250 drivers, as in ETS2.

I remember a discussion between Squirrel and SCS CEO a few months ago, and the CEO agreed that in ETS2 there's way too much money to be made. So they might be scaling it down in this game (with the added factor of $1,000 fines which people talk about, to keep your revenue lower).

Only reason I said was because for the achievement to discover agencies in ETS2 you had to do that. I'm probably wrong ^^

I suppose that makes sense. But instead of scaling back the game's income maybe they should consider giving people more things to do with their money..lol. Maybe make truck repairs cost more...or at a certain mileage a truck would need a mechanical overhaul costing several thousand dollars, truck washes, maybe being able to buy food and coffe at stops that provide temprory buffs to keep you awake, maybe visual or internal upgrades to your garages that provide merely cosmetic improvents or types of driving buffs, Company logo's for your fleet of trucks...i could go on?

I just did a nose count and I have discovered 6 out of the 10 that show up on the map, but I have not driven into all of their parking lots. I found 1 that the parking lot was so small that it just turned yellow when you drove by it, others I had to drive in & it is a tight squeeze.

I think a drive-by gives you a DISCOVERY which gives you 1 driver in the Waiting Room, but you have to drive in to turn them yellow which goes towards your 100% of the map EXPLORED. So in your case 8 discovered = 8 Drivers with more Maps there will be more Agencies to expand the Driver pool. I may be wrong but it sounds logical.

Now back to the Yellow Brick Road heading for an All Yellow Map.

HAPPY TRUCKING!!

I can't say as I Maxed out @ the 227 Drivers level in ETS2 last fall. What I said was an educated guess as he had discovered 8 Agencies and only had 8 Drivers available. I am still pulling loads to get the $ 180,000 to get the garage. I Don't believe in Banks.

In an experimental run (cheating money and levels) I have discovered all the work agencies, I have level 50, since several "game's days" but after having hired 1 driver for each of the 9 garages, I saw only 10 drivers available to hire; I think it make sense because we have only 2 States now ... I'm sure that for every new State added we'll have new work agencies and the number of drivers to hire will be greater than now.
Beside cheating money and levels only I traveled around to in order to discover all the garages and all the work agencies and I have completed a lot of works (both quick and freight) so my "numbers" in this answer are correct.

I'm trying to only hire women to fill out the ranks of my sexy stripper trucking company, but I seem to only have men applying for the job now. What gives?

Until now, and as told before I discovered all the work agencies, I have found 6 women ... all the other ones are male.

I think the selection of drivers changes over time. If you don't like what's available, wait a few game days and check again. I haven't really tried this yet, though. I've just hired whoever was available at the time. Also, if you hire a worker, he/she is replaced by another available driver immediately.
