Can someone please explain this to me?

I just bought a truck at the dealer and it s aid that the truck now had insurance :D it has something to do with repair costs

It is insurance. Insurance will cover most your repairs, you only pay a small percentage. What percentage you pay depends on how well you drive. The more accidents you have the more you pay. Mine is at 5% at the moment, some people have it at 2% and some are up at 15%.

Drive safe and you pay less for repairs.

So when I need repairs I am basically just paying a deductible? Is there anymore depth to this insurance or is that just it for now?

Yup you are just paying your dedeuctible share, 2-15% depending on yoru driving record.

No more depth to it than that so far.

75% damage was about $6,000 for me which was great! Was expecting huge fee like ETS2

accidents as in crashing your truck into another car or accidents as in crashing into a wall and do you know if the insurance goes down if its already high

Bit off Topic but what did you do to get 75% damage? lol btw this sounds like a nice feature can't wait till the beta is released officially.

If you want 75% damage, you believe that the signal arms at the railway crossing are just flimsy sticks compared to your truck. You also believe that you could outrun the train. The game believes otherwise.

It took a couple of days of more reasonable driving to earn my way back down to 2% coinsurance. What a wonderful world.

Generally speaking it helps lower your repair costs, for the most part it'll always be at 2% I've been told it raises, but tbh I've never seen mine go above 2% even when I had damaged my truck to 15% it still said 2% (Traffic stopped fast, I couldn't)

same here, i took damage like twice on 1 and half mouth old profile so ive never seen it raise more than that ! my usual damage is normal truck wearing :P

man, mines at 30% and its really getting old. Repairing tires shouldnt be tied into insurance, since thats what i normally go in for since im anal and 3% wear on tires bugs me. Then i get hit by some jackass turning left into me and have to pay 6000 for 15% damage. Im about to get a mod that gets rid of it altogether
