Floating Gears?
Anyone with an H-Shifter: does the game allow you to float gears? If you don't know the term, it means shifting without hitting the clutch pedal. You simply pull the shifter out of one gear, then either rev the engine or let the rpms drop to sync the transmission in a new gear and pop it into gear.

It's how I drive my truck most of the time. Betting it's not possible in the game though.

It is possible in this game. I'm still hit or miss at it. It's far easier IRL.

I don't think my G27 will shift unless the clutch is depressed all the way.

Is your transmission set to "advanced" in the game options? I'm doing it on a G27. I'm going to look for a tutorial right now. I'll post my findings.

Very cool.

Ok, next pipe dream. Does it accurately model how a 13-speed is shifted, where you simply lift the throttle to shift through some of the higher gears? Think 15 and 18 speeds work the same, but 13 is the most I've ever driven.
Here's a good tutorial:

kananesgi, are you talking about the splitter on the side of the shifter where you don't have to make a neutral pass, you can just blip the throttle? If so, I couldn't tell by the video if he was making a neutral pass or not when using the splitter in the same gear. If it works like real life, it will be a dream to drive.

That is what I'm talking about.
IDK, yet. But I'm going to find out.

Oh so it DOES work!
You really have to pay attention to the tach, otherwise you wind up missing and stuck in neutral.
Splits it seems you just need to select it and let the fuel off and it goes right in.

Seriously? The split gears actually work right? Now I gotta get my G25 out of storage and see if I can get it working.
Nice!!

Ok...that really changes how you drive too!
