If you reduce the scaling below 100% it renders your images at lower resolutions and then upscales them to fit your monitors resolution which makes the image worse, but increases performance.
It is Super Sampling if im right.
But I know the general outcome, if you turn it up the graphics become sharper like the numbers on your dash gauges get easier to read. In addition the FPS drops substantially at first and then less and less.
^^^ there ya go its a type of anti aliasing, another thing that I really don't eactly know what it is just the effect lol.
So if I am running at 1920x1080 with 150% scaling does that mean im at like 2780x1620?
yes, your gpu is rendering at the higher resolution, then it downscales it to 1920x1080 to fit the screen. Thus reducing the jagged edges a bit.
@Diablo, if you read my post you will see i was asking to understand what it does
^doesnt seem like you checked what it is and i wrote its Super Sampling, Google is mighty(and SS is a nice feature).
You also wrote why dont you test it, well i did, but that doesnt mean i understood what it was doing, is that ok with you ?
Isnt the whole point of a forum to talk to ppl and ask questions ? why spend ages looking on google, not even knowing what to look for when i can ask here, this forum isnt just so ppl can troll about the speeding fines !!!
Start up your game, click on "Options" then "Graphics"..
