Some questions
I am pretty new to the game at all and have some questions. I like that game but there are some things i dont understand right now. After I bought my first own truck i try not to accept the quick missions. But how can i find a mission then? I tried it using the world map but i can only see companies there but no open missions. Do i have to go to the quick missions to find a task and then drive to the company by myself to pick up the freight?
Another thing is my garage: I am located in a small garage in Bakersfield. When I try to hire another driver it says my garage has not enough space for another driver and i should extend the garage. But there is only a lock symbol where i could assing another driver except me?
And the last thing: What is the white number on my gps? The current speed limit?!

Yea,..you select the Freight Jobs, and pick your job in the list. Then you have to drive to pick up the trailer. Your GPS will show you where to go.

Not quick jobs, but freight market :) then drive to the place to pick it up. You will get guidance by GPS after you have selected.

The white number is the current speed limit.

You will have to upgrade your garage before you can hire anybody.

Ah the difference between quick jobs and freight jobs is that i dont need a truck for quick jobs and i directly start at the location with the trailer attached. And I have to drive to the freight market by myself?
How can i upgrade the garage? I am currently level 3 and havent found any possibility to upgrade the garage.

Go to Garage Manager and select the garage you want to upgrade. It will be an option to upgrade from there.

Click Garage Manager, top left of screen the little picture of garage should be "Upgrade" banner.

Just be mindful of the money you're earning before buying trucks and hiring drivers. You might want to level up some more so you can make enough to cover the loan payments.

Exactly, you will be hired by someone in the quick jobs, thus not need to pay for repairs, toll roads, fuel etc.. And you will be teleported to the cargo, and just drive :) The freight market is for when you have your own truck, and need to drive to the companies and you will pay for everything yourself. But you can always take quick jobs in between to get some extra cash.

If you buy your own truck you will get access to the garage manager IIRC, then you can upgrade if you hover over the small picture in the upper left corner. I don't remember if this comes at a special level or if you have to have your own truck first.

OK ill try that out later. One very last thing: Are there things like traffic jams, blocked roads (construction works), truck failures (enginge and so on)? Some unpredictible things on my way? I delivered 10+ freights and it was too easy so far.

This. Hired drivers will actually cost you a little money at first, and they level up slowly.

Also, when you hire them go into driver manager and change their "Skill" focus. It will be set to 'balanced' which you don't want at first. Force them to pick 'Long Distance', then switch it to the different load types. After that you can grab whatever you want including balanced. Just don't let them try to waste some of those starter levels on Eco Driving. Yes, it will save you money (You are the company paying for their gas, now) but you will make more then you would save if they had other job options. At first you will see them have to return to the garage with no load if there is no job they can get, and that costs a lot of money, so make sure they have as good a chance to find a job as possible.

Yes, but not so bad that it makes it any tougher. Your engine will never fail unless you take too much damage. Traffic never grinds to a halt for more than a few seconds. Construction is there but it's a minor inconvenience.

From the barn to Trucker's HQ. I think, it's worth. :)

when booking a freight job, sometimes the red gps arrows don't show up, so I can't find my way to the job. Other times, I'll find the origin of the job, try to book the job and some other one show up. I assume the original job has expired.
