That's a mod problem, contact the mod author it doesn't belong in the official forum.

That why I'm staying clear of mod trucks for now, they all sound like they got something wrong with them.

But it's my 2nd truck mod with this issue, so Im not sure if it's a mod issue. But chrome parts in SCS trucks works good for me with no issues. So maybe actually truck mods use some textures what are getting messy for some users, I dunno

Nearly all modded trucks have some changeover problem at the moment. The only one that seems any good at all is the Peterbilt 389 by viper. Bear in mind too that sometimes chrome can look black in the showroom but when out in daylight it's ok.

I use this truck. In the truck configuration page it looks weird, but in-game it's fine, don't worry

Its Fine when it's free wheelin' on the open road!

Because it looks good on you, opposite to me. Maybe I will try to contact mod creator or something, I dunno

Ah, just did some messing around and figured it out. The issue lies with the Reflection Detail setting in the Graphics options. If it's set to anything less than "High", then the chrome parts on this truck will look bugged

You are right about this, I've got set this up on medium. On high looks perfectly fine, even if in showroom looks bugged. Case closed.
