Realistic Fuel Consumption?
Quick Q, do you consume more or less fuel with RFC on? Anybody know?

More.
It calculates your fuel consumption based on weight and throttle I guess

Yep, heavier trailer uses up more fuel and driving faster also, all and all it always comes down to more fuel used.

Thank you!

Also putting bigger engines in your truck uses more fuel, atleast it did in ETS2 so guess they do here too

The problem running with RFC off is that the engine uses fuel even when off the throttle. This glitch should be reason enough to run with RFC on all the time.

Its not a glitch, any engine uses fuel when off the throttle, unless its the new hybrid engine

Wouldn't that be true in either case? The engine doesn't stop running when you let off the throttle...

Change your dash display to amount of fuel remaining and coast down a hill, it uses as much fuel as when full on throttle uphill.

Unless this is SCSs way of making it so simple that the average user can predict how far he can go?

edit: since this thread got so far off topic I've tested with RFC on and it's definitely better on fuel especially with cruise control on.
Unsubscribing to these childish comments.

I would assume it uses more but I never noticed much difference with it on or off.

No they dont the moment u let of the fuel the fuel to the injectors is cut off till it gets back to idle speed or u get back on the fuel

Please stop, my sides are hurting from laughing so hard.

If the fuel was stopped, the engine would stop... Or did you think the engine idling was done with faerie dust?
